Flus has said having former players around is a priority for him. I'm glad to see a change in direction.

I have always like when the organization keeps former players engaged. 

I never understood why anyone would want to keep them away.  It creates a positive vibe, great PR, shared knowledge, not to mention the fact that none of them will talk smack against you in the media.

I agree with everything you said. I think it's not the organization that promoted this. I think it falls on Poles and Flus that wanted to do this. They didn't do it under Pace and Nagy with George still  running the Bears. Every good player that has played here for a long are bearized. Olin , Briggs, Brown, ect. are still pro bears.

Those guys have so much knowledge about the game. This is long overdue. It also helps build back the Monsters of the Midway culture that has been lost since Lovie left.
