GB wins, St. Brown hurt, who was clearly a huge part of their game plan. 

Neither team looked particularly good. I feel much better facing either of them with Jaylon and Kyler.

I was kind of surprised by how bad the defenses were. 7 TDs allowed between the 2 teams, 9 scoring drives. GB had 3 sacks (on Goff), DET had 0. No turnovers.

Bears still in first, but a loss tomorrow would drop them to 2nd and GB would be 0.5 ahead. DET now has 2 extra losses.

GB also had their big DT carted off (Wyatt). I read that of the 4 NFLN teams, GB has the most challenging schedule remaining for this season. 

With two games coming up with GB and 1 with DET, we are in charge of our own destiny.

Jackson was the unsung hero during the last game with the most tackles (15).  He led both teams in that category with Obengingimiba (sp?) as a close second at 14.  With Sweats 2 sacks in the last game and ‘old-man’ Byard playing at an all-pro clip, having some help in the defensive backfield will be good.

Im still a fan of Sewell and looking forward to see how Hyppolite figures into the equation when the time comes.  

Lane Johnson is out and two OL are going to play with nagging injuries, Jurgens and Dickerson. I would say if we play physical we could see a disruption in their OLs health. None of this will be easy but I have this strange feeling, we are going to win this game. It just could be indigestion from eating to much today but Im going with a win instead.

Weather and refs. Unfortunately, I think those two factors will have the biggest impact on the game, low 30s with real feel in the 20s, 20-mph winds with gusts in the 30s. Game start is at 3pm, so it will get colder as the game goes on.

The Bears need to establish the run and stop the run. Whoever does that wins. Bears need a clean game from Caleb, no turnovers, take what the defense is giving you.

Much like the last game, our opponents are getting healthier just as the Bears are getting more beaten up. I'm really surprised Devonta Smith is playing after not practicing at all this week with injuries and being sick. As much as the media wants to rag on the Bears for how many backup/journeyman QB's they've faced, the Bears have always been the more injured team just about every week of the season so far.

As for the game, the deciding factor is probably going to be whether the Bears can stop Philly on the ground. I worry about Hurts' legs just as much as Barkley's. If they let them gash them up for large chunks all game, this one could get ugly. If they can hold them in check, I don't anticipate Hurts being able to throw the ball all over the field against our secondary with Johnson and Gordon back. Have to keep them out of the redzone, because that's where they are the most dangerous.

On offense, the Bears have to get back to running the ball efficiently. That hasn't been the case since the Bengals game, really. This is the same defense that held Jared Goff below 40% completion % a couple weeks ago. With Caleb's accuracy issues, I worry how ugly the passing game could look if they aren't able to run the ball. He has to be able to hit all his open receivers today. Has to.

I thought this was an interesting nugget on Stevenson (who is out this game):
 

"Most in the NFL". Swapping this version of Stevenson for Jaylon is a huge upgrade. Then you take Gordon for McCloud, who also has been targeted too much, and some of the biggest liabilities in your pass defense are gone.

Everything will matter for us to sneak out a win. Devonte Smith had ankle and rib issues, a few big hits on him could slow him down quite a bit. Gordon and JJ were always good against the run, so I think having them back helps us with the run game also. My biggest prediction is even if we lose, it will be a competitive game down to the wire. We are use to that. The Eagles have been fading late in games, SB hangover and wear and tear, I think so. 

Just as a side note, it was brought to me attention that in a matter of four days the Cowboys beat both the teams who played in last year’s Super Bowl.  And as a result KC is out of playoff contention.  Yes that same Dallas team Chicago beat convincingly some weeks ago .

Every week brings a new situation. They lost to someone we beat soundly and now we have more injuries than during that game. Its nice to compare to feel good about today but in the end we have to play well today to win.

Not even a quarter in and the Bears already get screwed by the officiating. Zero evidence to overturn the spot there, and of course the officials overturn it anyway because it's the Bears. 

Can’t believe that the challenge by the Eagles was upheld. How could they see where the knee was down? Stiffed again by the officials.

The KC / DAL game was the battle of ex Bear HCs.  Nagy vs Flus. 

Glad we have Johnson and Gordon back, hopefully it should help the pass rush. Nice stop. Come on Caleb lets be perfect so the officials can keep their noses out of the game.

2nd and 3rd string LBs.  I saw J Johnson out on coverage and I think Gordon was out there too.   So far defense holding its own .
 

my personal conern is playing against a Vic Fangio D.

I saw the knee go down, but it was passed the line to gain.

Yep, 17 games is a long season.  Dallas may be surging at just the right time.  Of course they also have a tendency to fold in the playoffs.  

Officials doing their best to keep PHI in this game. I don't know how they overturn that ball placement with indisputable evidence to overturn it.

Another dominating offensive drive, wow I am impressed. The Bears are killing the Eagles in the trenches. Swift has 43 rushing yards, Monangai has 38, in the first quarter.

7-0 Bears, now the defense needs a good stop and they can't take PHI out of their game. 

Good ball control short gain offensive plays. Classic WCO working great so far.  Heard there was a close ratio on run/pass.   Good way to play a team like this. 

I don't like the light boxes against Barkley.
