God that ending sucked. I can't believe SF stopped that lateral. Felt like that should have been an easy touchdown if Swift stays outside!

freak this defense. They clearly lost the game tonight.

Yeah both him and Monangai did that, cut back inside right towards defender.

I can not complain, these Bears are legit. Hell of a game, just ran out of time.

This team is for real on offense. Caleb is getting better and better and when they get Rome back and keep growing this team is lethal. Loveland and Luther are studs - even with those drops at the end.

I really hope Luther is ok on that last play.

agree and amen to both these comments.

Not that is matters, but Caleb threw for 330, now 270 from 4K and only 109 to break Kramer's team record.

He played outstanding tonight. Missed a couple but overall was excellent. Seems to have really found another level and you can see there are still multiple levels of talent and potential to unlock.

SF had the officials advantage all game, that was the difference. One play away.

That iffy at best penalty at the end of the half that took an interception off the board and essentially handing SF a TD. Was huge in a game like this.  Instead of being dow by 4 at the end we’d have been up by 3 looking to salt away the clock.

SF was the hottest team in the league right now and we went toe to toe until the last play of the game.  Our pass rush sucks but SF has the least sacks in the league. We are looking in the mirror to who we are at this point of the season. We have a special offense that's close but we are already so far ahead of expectations it's ridiculous.

GB and SF games came down to the last play of the game. You can't get closer than that. We just aren't ready for prime time just yet.

As gut wrenching as that game ending was.  I’m proud of this team.  We know SF can put up a lot of points.  The Bears offend stood toe to toe with them all game long.  This by far the best the offense has looked this year from start to finish.

Defense however, good Lord.  Ever hear of this thing called tackling?  We pretty much let SF do whatever they wanted.  CMC, Purdy, and their backup TE. We’re having their way.

All in all this game proved we belong. Perhaps a loss here serves us better than a win.  We have to play better complimentary football.  The way the defense played gave the offense little to no room for error. That said I’m proud of how hard this Bears team fights and the resilience they have shown.

win next week and we host at least 1 playoff game. This has been a hell of a job laying the ground work for sustained success.

Evidently hamstring injury for Burden. They were going to do an MRI per Cronin. Hoping ends up being very minor and nothing serious.

He did do a post game interview so that is a good sign. Those two drops probably were difference as we would have had a bit more time and a timeout still there. I don’t think they stop us inside the 10 there if we had a bit more time. They did play great D that final play.

That play also felt poorly designed. You do the hook and lateral to a side where another receiver is at, which carries with it at least one extra defender? Seems like the receiver in back should have been running a post or something.

Anyone that's wants to file complaints about mistakes or bad, go for it. I can't find anything to be unhappy about. I don't want to miss the joy that comes with 11 wins, Taking the North and making the playoffs.

Of course my expectations are high but we have at least one home game. We can beat anyone in the NFC but may lose.

Change my mind?

We have the Coach, we have the QB, we have a bevy of young good players. Burden-loveland-Monangai- J Walker- Trapillo. The NFL is now about offense and we already have our stars.

I think whomever wins between SF and Seattle next week will be representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.  A few weeks back I would’ve picked LAR but they seemed to have fallen off as of late.

Yes the Bears are close but their defense is what’s holding them back right now.

I think it's wide open between LA, Philly, SF, Seattle and then us. Do not count out the Eagles. SF now has home field thru the SB if they keep winning.

this is the same ole shite we get from the refs. i would like a better look at it but it did NOT seem to be anything close to flagrant. incidental and short lived that probably happens dozens of times on both sides a game. just they chose a critical time to call it to influence the score and outcome. anyone who believes the fix is NOT IN in the nfl is whistling past the graveyard.

just another game changer by crooked refs who seem to be on organized crime payrolls. this same ref crew is consistently influencing scores and game outcomes during the season. the 12th man on the field. on top of THAT, their NON CALLS for PI and holding against the bears is so obvious i can't believe the NFL is not aware of it. amazing we should draw that crew in this critical of a regular season game? i think not.

It was the difference in the game. It would've been tied and Santos would've been kicking the GW FG from 29 yards out.

the officials determined the outcome of this game, period. the NFL knows and allows it.

Yeah, it was bad. Burden got facemasked coming across the middle, no call. Jarrett has his face mask pushed up, no call, then the next play Dexter does the same thing (both penalties), but that one was called.

Out of the entire game, I thought Johnson handled the timeouts pretty well, but I thought he was too worried about leaving too much time on the clock at the end, leaving very little room for error. Having to spike the ball wasted a play when you had over 2 mins and 3 timeouts to start with. A learning point for him, but tough to watch it play out.

Was going to say exactly that.  By far this was the best the offense played  from start to finish.  Although the wife correctly predicted they’d go 3 and out on the first series they made up ground quickly after that.

Yeah, he was too worried about leaving too much time left than he was scoring. They had 3 timeouts left at midfield with 1:10 left to play and still ran out of time. That can't happen.

Not only that, but Ben Johnson said he got the final play call off late, which caused the offense to not have enough time to get set properly. Perfect example of why having that final timeout could have helped. Instead, you get a busted play before the snap where Caleb has to improvise in a helter skelter fashion, but comes up short.
