7 hours ago7 hr comment_233338 With Sanborn being back, I'm getting the impression they won't be taking a LB with the first few picks. As much as these lower rostered players aren't counted on to make the roster, I think it's looking more like S and DE will be the first positions addressed in the draft.. Makes me think CB could be in play also. If you look at the positions signed in free agency, it's leaving S and DE that needs additional help. Report

I’d even go as far as to say DE will be the first choice with Safety a close second. Once the Bears lost out in the high ticket DE FA market I feel they are now going to go with someone younger they can develop. That is unless a player currently on another roster they have their eyes on gets released. Report

I think the injured players from last year could be available by training camp.James Lynch is a rotational type player, not a player that bounces back and forth on the practice squad. He played 32% of snaps last year.Sanborn - Jackson - Edwards -Bush-Hyppolite- Sewell are our rostered LBers. They will add one in the draft but I don't think in the first 2 rounds. All the cheaper additions could easily be cut and not affect the salary cap. Report

3 hours ago3 hr comment_233344 We don’t need him,Sewell, and Edwards. Similar skillets similar limitations. Likely Sewell is out. Report
2 hours ago2 hr comment_233345 Sewell is not supposed to be ready for training camp. If we draft a good prospect, I could see him being a injury settlement going away. Hyppolite did nothing but he was a project. DA likes speed so I see them giving him every chance to succeed. He has to show progress to stay here. Report

DA likes them fast, which is NOT a height weight trait. I'm still thinking we draft a talented LB. lf you can't stop the run, the pass rush has little chance... Report
1 hour ago1 hr comment_233349 Quality depth signing and solid special teams. Agree with a few of you - think this means it isn’t a likely target first few rounds unless they really love someone who falls to them. Report
1 hour ago1 hr comment_233351 I know this guy is not known for speed, but I would love to see Josiah Trotter. Feel like we would get a little taste of Butkus. Report
