In this case my eye test matched up with PFF. Kiran, after all these years even knowing he’s had injuries, should not be on this list with a bunch of guys I’ve never heard of. Except Bagent…who also shouldn’t be on this list but he also played that poorly.

Worst offense grades

  • TE Qadir Ismail: 41.9

  • OL Wesley French: 44.3

  • OL Kiran Amegadjie: 44.8

  • QB Tyson Bagent: 46.6

  • OL Kyle Hergel: 49.5

Kiran won’t make it - unless they see him playing at guard. He just isn’t good and whether it was injuries or other stuff - he was another in a long list of 3rd round misses from Poles. The hope is we see Poles draft rates excel with this coaching staff.

Regarding Kiran - I will caveat - they are sending a message and I want to see how he responds coming out of this game. He’s healthy and in better physical shape - now go and step up from here on out. Ben has set a message to all of his LT prospects - I want to see who responds and steps up.

Like I said before, I hate throwing away something expensive. Kiran hasn't had much time because he had injuries, so this seems to be his first full camp. He is under contract another year, if they can stash him on practice squad or IR, or something, it might help

I would be shocked if Kiran cleared waivers. Serviceable OTs on rookie deals don't grow on trees. If he is the odd man out, I could see another team taking a flyer for him for like a 6th rounder or something like that.

In the postgame, I felt like he was giving an excuse for his play because he had to go back in for Wills. Yet, he was struggling before he came back in.

If I remember they were rotating them the whole game. Not sure that was one over the other.

Roschon - I saw someone somewhere say Roschon is in the doghouse. No he’s not, he’s just pedestrian by NFL standards. He might be one of those good guys that sticks around the NFL for 5-7 years at the bottom of rosters but that’s all he is.

That was me. Last year I saw reports where he was only because he was apparently having a hard time learning the plays. AI agrees with you that ‘no’ he is not and that he’s been managing injuries. At any rate, I hope he sticks around as he’s a good back…probably #3 at least.

Ahmad stuck out but is more of a scat back type to me, but Johnson was very reliable but not spectacular. Johnson plays STs so that may give him the upper hand. As a third back, who would fit that spot better? One of the RBs will be on the practice squad so probably Johnson gets the nod?

Ahmad, to me, looked slow. His TD was a result of the play design, not his speed or elusiveness . Keep in mind he was running against 2nd or 3rd team defenders…for the Browns. I’d say RoJo has the upper hand…but it’s a relatively low bar.

Did you guys see where apparently Coach Johnson was going to let his asst coaches call plays for half of the preseason games? This last game was Coach Randle-Els turn and he did the second half. Is that when they separated on the score?

I am good if they can get something for him. I see it as Trapilo, Jones, and if they can keep one more it is Kiran over Wills because of Poles 3rd round investment.

I heard that too. Having been a bench player in my younger years I was always happy to get playing time. So why wouldn’t he have been happy to get the call in a key moment in the game?

Regardless my biggest takeaway after watching him closely is that he’s a slow athlete. Quick feet and quick hand help a lot in line play. Both sides. He’s like the Gervon Dexter version of OT.

Some people lack natural aggression. It slows positive reaction. I wished to have a body like Kiran and came up way short. It takes body and heart, making it a rare opportunity.

Read this morning that both Monangai (knee) and newly signed Xavior Woods (groin) came out of the weekend scathed. Reports say Monangai’s injury was close to being pretty “serious” and with Woods‘ injury I suspect they’ll be on the market for another veteran Safety(?).

The defense pitched a shutout after allowing 10 pts.

Have to say that was the bad part since whatever #1s we started were the ones that gave up points to Clevelands 1s.
