I have a feeling Mike Tice has a good connectioin with the Wis program as he new Carimi and seemed to work with him at times. Great hire IMO! Report

January 19, 201214 yr comment_100482 Is this the situation that's created when there is no GM, but the new hire has to keep the incumbent HC, who doesn't have an OC, but promoted the OL coach to a position in which he's never worked? The only people the Bears are going to be able to get are friends of the staff and/or noobs. Either way, it's not a pretty picture. Lovie should have gone with JA. Report

January 19, 201214 yr comment_100488 Its getting to be quite laughable.... Did they ever make an official announcement he was coming or was it simply coming from the press? If just from the press, then I don't see this as an issue. Peace Report

January 19, 201214 yr comment_100499 Bostad just followed Cryst to Pitt to be their OC. Tice has familiarity with him from Tice's son being UW's 3rd String QB. The fact that he considered to be an OL Coach for the Bears rather than call plays for Pitt is a compliment to the Bears. It makes sense that he would stay and call plays at Pitt after JUST accepting the job there. Report
