Giants on the clock. Bears up next. I'd still love Brown or Allen. We'll likely pick neither . . .

Who's available at #50:

Keenan Allen, Cal

Markus Wheaton, Oregon State

Quinton Patton, Louisiana Tech

Tight End

Vance McDonald, Rice

Offensive Line

Larry Warford, Kentucky

Terron Armstead, Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Barrett Jones, Alabama

Brian Schwenke, California

Defensive Tackle

Jesse Williams, Alabama

John Jenkins, Georgia

Linebacker

Arthur Brown, Kansas State

Cornerback

Jamar Taylor, Boise State

David Amerson, N.C. State

Brown, Allen, Taylor, another OL? I just hope they are from this list.

Bostic is a good pick.

Another goddamn reach. Why is this a good pick?

I liked what I saw from Bostic at the combine but I don't know if he's a MLB. I can't believe they passed on Arthur Brown.. Brown might not be a MLB either, but I believe he's a better prospect.

Surprised it wasn't Brown, but the Bears obviously did a lot of homework on him and liked Bostic more. He was one of the faster LBs at the combine and is probably a little bit better fit in the middle than Brown. I don't think this is a very deep MLB draft (whereas I think there's some depth at CB and WR), so I'm OK with it.

At least we are filling holes. Brown goes to Ravens, I will hate to see that work out over Bostic. They talked about Bostic playing special teams and subbing all LB positions. I would rather pick a starter here, but we will see. With no 3rd, that is our only pick today.

Honey Badger off the board.. Damn it. Peterson and Mathieu back together again. It will be interesting to see which guy takes over return duties. I'm assuming it'll be Mathieu.

I have no clue why Arizona would take the best PR/KR in the league off of that, but we'll see.

I think he ends up taking Briggs spot eventually. They liked him better than Brown, the pick is on them and all we can do is hope they are right.

The other big takeaway from this draft for the Bears IMO: Don't listen to any "experts" in the media when it comes to the Bears. We hear all sorts of people from the Trib or the Sun-Times or national media or bloggers say what they are hearing as far as guys the Bears like. I'm pretty sure we never heard either Kyle Long or Jon Bostic at any point.

Another thing to take away...the Bears want speed.

Eagles trade up to take Barkley with first pick in the 4th.

Ace Sanders to the Jags. He's a quick WR and return man. He's a guy I'd have thought the Bears might be interested in getting.

Josh Boyce to New England.. Ugh.. The receivers are dropping like flies.

Williams, Stills, Collins, and Patten are still there, but I'd wait until round 5 for a small, fast one. Go BPA here.

Patton, Rogers, and Swope still there at WR.
