  2. What a turn around this year has been.
  3. Yes and in the few minutes of the 4th quarter I saw their was a clear lack of discipline and execution on many plays (drops, bad passes, even the blatant OPI at end of the game which is St. Brown thinking there is no way the refs will call this - hint: he wasn't in a Packer uniform).
  4. All eyes on SF at IND on MNF tomorrow night. A SF loss could help for seeding. I just want them to play a long physical game so they are weaker next weekend against the Bears.
  5. The Lions are 3 games back of the Bears, but only one game ahead of MIN for last in the Division, lol.
  6. Lions were 15-2 last year and 12-5 in 2024. So 27-7 with Ben Johnson at OC. This year they are 8-7. They hit their two-year loss total in 15 games without him.
  7. Wild game, OPI wipes out go-ahead walk-off TD, and PIT wins. We are, as you announced, a playoff team!
  8. Crazy game, it seemed like the refs were doing everything in their power to keep Detroit in that game. Then on 4th and goal, an OPI, forward progress clearly stopped (by about 4 yards), to have it come down to an official's discussion was wild.
  9. Something that seemed like wishful thinking in Ben Johnson's first year as HC with a completely different coaching staff and scheme, but wow, 2 weeks left to decide seeding. Lions are all but eliminated after losing to the Steelers in Detroit, and now would need to win out and have GB lose out to make the playoffs.
  10. Crazy ending in Steelers game…wow…playoffs…let’s go!!! Don’t stop now Bears!!!
  11. Today
  12. Yesterday
  13. And his arm around DJ's neck well before the ball appears? That was PI, but we all know it wouldn't have been called.
  14. First part, yes. Second part, didn't matter, because he didn't move or hinder DJ. Scratch the first part. The DB did look back. That's what made him attack the way he did. Out of respect, I watched again...
  15. I can't believe I will be pulling for A. Rodgers to have a great game to defeat Detroit. Good grief, how low can I go?
  16. That was my thinking. He wasn't playing the ball; he was reacting to DJ's reaching for it. The defender not only made major contact before the ball arrived, but also had his hands in DJ's face (at first I thought it was grabbing the face mask, but then, on watching it again, he was covering it with his hands). I am certainly not as well-versed in these manners as Mongo, but to me it was a DPI. I guess it is a good thing I am not a ref. LOL
  17. I think our D line was terrible, and it was, and it has been and will be all year, but I think we played pretty well in other phases?
  18. I didnt mind the early penalties, I felt like we were serving notice that we were going to be more physical. And to be fair, int hat first Packer drive, where we gave them a tone of yards, we also knocked the ball out twice, got a hit on the QB and got a tipped ball that could have been an INT. Early penalties like that dont bother me - I like the tone setting, but false starts and stuff are dumb. Of course after the first bit, you dont want to keep seeing those penalties, but the early ones when we were all amped up? I kind of loved them. Let em know theyre in for a real fight.
  19. THe way i see it, I feel like youre talking more about the offense. For example, if Caleb makes a good fast read, and delivers a catchable ball that's dropped, and we end up having to punt, thats the offense needing more consistency, but i give Caleb a + score for that play? Now Im not saying Caleb is perfect, but if you watch the best QBs, they arent either. The last couple weeks especially it feels like the game is slowing down for Caleb and he is playing in rhythm, and to me, that means he is becoming elite. Doesnt mean he cant still work on things, of course he has to, but I see him executing the offense correctly, calmly, in time, and now with accuracy (which is new to see) so i think he took that next step last night.
  20. That only applied if the defender is looking back at the ball. No such effort was made.
  21. No. The defender had a right to the ball and didn't hinder DJ's attempt to catch.
  22. The old adage is that generally if you are penalized 100 yards or more in a game you don’t win. Last night the Bears broke that rule.
  23. I'm ecstatic that we won the game. But, this has to be one of the games where I have to say it is not deserved. We were poor on all phases of the game and I'm embarrassed in how we played against the Packers. Johnson needs to call the game better, and how the defense played after Love went down was disgraceful. Was this poor play from the players or was this down to Dennis Alen being piss poor with his play calling.
