Wow! Current poll shows McCain with a 2 point lead in his home state, 43.5 percent to 41.5 percent. Within the margin of error. Link here. The Republican "brand" is damaged beyond repair if this happens. Not that I mind.

I figure there is a chunk of Cubs/Sox fans on here and since both teams were vying for his services thought I'd throw this out there. As a Sox fan I just hope the club is planning on finding a leadoff hitter and a centerfielder because they don't have one on the current roster.

Da Coach is on the McCain-Palin Team Watch video at link Mike Ditka uses locker room flair at Pennsylvania rally Updated 3:04 PM CST, Fri, Oct 31, 2008 Mike Ditka steps up for the McCain/Palin ticket at a campaign stop in Pennsylvania. Da Coach showed his passion. He had his usual flair. It was something right out of a 1985 locker room speech to the Chicago Bears. "Don't talk about what you're going to do," Mike Ditka told the crowd at a Pennsylvania rally Friday. "Prove you can do something." As Ditka stood on stage with presidential candidate John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, he looked almost Presidential himself...or at least Senato…

Maybe his immature antics costs the US Navy over 100 lives on that fateful day? Do I believe it? I don't know... But it's a question I want answered. Right Ashkum? "I want the truth!" "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!" Lot's of things out there to wonder about with these candidates. Seems bringing up the whole "Obama is a Muslim" thing at this point might open a can of worms for McCain. If they can ask questions, is it OK for us to do the same? Can we ask about the Forrestal? The Keating 5? His graduating at the bottom of his class at Annapolis? His being shot down while flying below his ordered altitude? His crashing of 3 other jets but…

Do Facts Matter? By Thomas Sowell Abraham Lincoln said, "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you can't fool all the people all the time." Unfortunately, the future of this country, as well as the fate of the Western world, depends on how many people can be fooled on election day, just a few weeks from now. Right now, the polls indicate that a whole lot of the people are being fooled a whole lot of the time. The current financial bailout crisis has propelled Barack Obama back into a substantial lead over John McCain— which is astonishing in view of which man and which party has had …

So apparently Lazor, Desai, and Tabor have all been placed in the C19 protocol. You almost can't make this up: I am not saying these are inaccurate, but for how bad Robinson, Jackson, and Goldman have played, they will barely be missed. However, this looks pretty ugly. So Fields gets Jenkins and Simmons as his bookend tackles against MIN who leads the league in sacks. Lovely.

(2) As board members for the Woods Fund, Obama and Ayers raised $75,000 for Palestinian spokesman and fundraiser Rashid Khalidi, who was a spokesman for the PLO. I have the Saints defense and after Thurs night's performance I'm concerned about the Saints D this season. They netted me whopping 4 points, my kicker got me more points than that. the available Defenses in FA are listed below but non of them gets me that excited either. I could try to trade for a better defense, or is it too early to give up on the saints D. Of course next week I hope they totally tank again. If it helps here's the defensive scoring system for my league. Sacks:1 point Interceptions:2 points Fumbles Recovered:2 points Fumbles Forced:2 points Safeties:2 points Touchdowns:6 points Blocked Kicks:2 points Kickoff and Punt Return To…

  17. I have a couple questions for all the fantasy football experts and commissioners. I and the commish of a 10 team PPR league on NFL.com I have tossed around the idea of allowing the trading of individual draft picks prior to our draft. We redraft every year, it's non-keeper, and I am hesitant to change our league to a keeper league since this is our 4th year and we haven't had the same owners in any two or more consecutive seasons. First season was a 10 team, second season was a 12, last year was back to 10 and this year is so far looking to stay 10 and may be the first season we've had the same owners. I'm thinking that adding the ability to trade individual picks…

Has anyone ever heard of playing every team, every week?? A friend of a friend told me about it. He asked how I did this year and I told him I had a great year, but ended up in 7th place. He said his site offers an option called like power schedule or something and he is thinking of going to it next year. I never caught what site he used and I've been searching and can't find anything on it. Anyway, I worked the numbers with the resutls from my own league and it does see to be a pretty fair way to do things. It rewards the best overall teams on the year, instead of some teams that just caught some lucky breaks. This is different from doing just a point ba…

PPR league. We start 1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 Flex (WR/RB), 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Def. I may be able to limp into the playoffs in my league but I'm totally not confident in my team anymore. With two weeks to go before the playoffs, and the trade deadline looming Nov 23rd.
