Cutting Gould was a surprise to me.....but who do you replace him with? Looking at the roster who is going to handle the kick return duty?

I lost a lot of respect for him after running his mouth on the radio during the whole Brandon Marshall thing. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0904-story.html

Khari Lee was released to make room for Logan Paulsen. I think that's an upgrade and it is expected we'll put Lee on the practice squad so he'll still be around if needed, Braunecker too. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/bears-t...-logan-paulsen/

Do we kick the tires? Seems like a low risk signing, and he is still fairly young.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/...ract-extension/ Bears give Kyle Long a four-year, $40 million contract extension. Posted by Darin Gantt on September 3, 2016, 4:53 PM EDT Chicago Bears tackle Kyle Long, left, speaks to his brother, New England Patriots defensive end Chris Long, right, at midfield after a preseason NFL football game Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, in Foxborough, Mass. (AP Photo/Elise Amendola) AP The Bears weren’t content to just pick their roster Saturday, they decided to extend one of their own key parts well into the future. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Bears have agreed to a four-year contract extension with…

Packers cut Josh Sitton after failing to trade him With question marks around K Long's shoulder, in order to return Lawson to Center, I would not mind seeing the Bear's signing Sitton. I think he would be a valuable spot starter and depth for the OL. However, I would not be surprised if GB resigns him at a lower contract number.

We play against: Brock Osweiler (new starter in HOU), Chase Daniel (new starter in PHI), and Dak Prescott (rookie). I would not be surprised if we went 3-0 into Week 4 against Detroit. If we do anything less than 2-1, it will be a huge disappointment.

They are coming in. LS Patrick Scales - sort of surprising, I thought he had the job locked up, now it goes to Aaron Brewer. OL Jason Weaver - They obviously like Adams and Silatolu TE Tony Moeaki - sort of surprising as he played pretty solid in the preseason, with him gone Lasike makes it as a FB. WR Daniel Braverman - could still make the PS, but based on his performance, not a lot of good tape CB De’Vante Bausby - damn I really thought he had a chance, I think Glenn's experience pushed him out, hopefully he ends up on the PS. WR Marc Mariani - I am actually surprised here, thought he would stick around due to ST. Now it looks like it will…

If this doesn't show you how much this guy is for himself, then nothing will. So the team basically said we don't want you doing that during the season, and he took offense to that because it would hurt his brand. Ridiculous. “When I sat down with Ryan Pace and coach John Fox, we met, and I asked, ‘What do you guys think about this?’ It was a big topic. And Ryan Pace said, ‘Well, we can do that in the offseason.’ So I was like, ‘Well, what about half the season?’ ‘No.’ ‘What about once or twice?’ ‘No.’ ‘What about bye week?’ ‘No, you can do that in the offseason.’” Marshall said that he wanted to continue to do the show not just to set up a potential career as a…

I know it's the final preseason game, but no thread at all? Here's what I saw: - There will be more talented QBs cut than David Fales and the Bears should find one and put him on their practice squad. - The Bears will lose out on a talented player because they insist on holding onto Jacquizz Rodgers, who will not have a memorable moment this season. He is easily the 4th best RB on the roster and we could pick up his equivalent on waivers. I'd cut him. The Bears won't. Howard was particularly impressive tonight. - The FB Lasike had some big hits and caught the ball well. I think he makes the team as the FB. - I'm surprised we didn't see anything of Ben Brau…

Said to be an up and coming slot corner who was released by the Browns because well....They're the Browns. This was the note when he was waived. Browns waived CB K'Waun Williams. Williams had been suspended by the Browns for two games after disobeying their wishes to avoid surgery on his troublesome ankle. A second, outside opinion revealed Williams needed surgery and he underwent the procedure. One of the league's better young slot corners, Williams should resurface quickly. Aug 29 - 4:06 PM

I kept seeing the media talk about how the preseason record doesn't necessarily correlate to regular season success. So I thought about looking at it from something else that is a good measure of success over time (score differential). So I looked at all teams which allowed 40 or more points than their opponents in the preseason and see how they fared in the regular season (and I think there is some correlation there). Take a look: 2015 PIT -49 (10-6, WC) NO -47 (7-9) STL -45 (7-9) 2014 BUF -41 (9-7) KC -48 (9-7) DAL -56 (12-4, DIV) CHI -41 (5-11) 2013 JAX -51 (4-12) SD -44 (9-7) TB -49 (4-12) ATL -43 (4-12) 2012 NYJ -57 (6-10) …

This is a big game as a dress rehearsal for the season. Most starters won't play next week. Bears win toss then defer (never understand that in preseason). With defense on field first, Smith dinks and dunks us to death to right past mid field, but Bears hold strong and force a punt from 42. Young with a nice pursuit tackle across field, and no real broken tackles or long plays. Run defense very stout so far, 4 runs for 6 yards.

Congrats to this young man for earning a starting opportunity in Week 3 of the preseason. I've been complimentary of him the last couple weeks and it seems he done as well or better in practice this week with the 1st team. If you like watching Olinemen run LBs out of the play watch a couple of his highlight clips at the link. http://bearswire.usatoday.com/2016/08/25/c...n-performances/
