One writer on Rotoworld has us ranked as the 7th best roster in a power ranking going by the personal on the teams at this moment in time. Evan Silva-Pre-Draft NFL Lineup Rankings Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Im just a plumber(a moron) so I am not sure how to link the article from the site. Maybe Terrtool or Alaskan Frizzy can help.

Seems that we are getting healthy, with Loyd coming back as well as Manning to practice. Williams is ready to go as well. It will be interesting to see how they work Williams in. Though I'd like to see him play, the OL is getting the job done, at least on pass protection, and wouldn't want to change things at this point. Also, I have a difficult time when i read about (Sun Times) getting Williams in later in the Lions game. Man, I hope they aren't taking the Kittens lightly! Just play to our strengths and, if we do have a good game Sunday, yeah, work him in.

From the Sun Times Neil Hayes: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...nsive-line.html It answers most of the o-line questions I've wondered about, such as: Question #1. Martz likes finesse guys who can block and Tice likes beef. Who wins? This quote sounds like Tice does, ‘"We’ve kind of shifted in that we want bigger people,’’ Angelo said. ‘‘So we’re looking for tackles who can play guard rather than guards who can play center. So there’s a little bit of a shift in our thinking that way philosophically. I know coach Tice wants bigger people. Staffs we’ve had before, they weren’t as committed to that thinking. But there’s a little bit more of a …

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears Tice in no hurry to settle starting O-line Mike Tice believes Lance Louis is a protype right guard because of his size and strength.BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Bears coach Lovie Smith, and offensive coordinator Mike Martz recently expressed concern about the club finalizing its decision-making process in naming the starters along the offensive line. The unit’s coach, however, isn’t in such a hurry. “I have to have patience,” offensive line coach Mike Tice said. “The way I look at it is I’ve got five weeks to get these guys ready to play winning football. That’s my job.” Smith and Martz seem to be content to …

http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true Cutler trade suddenly makes Bears serious contenders in NFC By Vic Carucci | NFL.com Senior Columnist If Jay Cutler was a bad fit in the Denver Broncos' new offense, he might very well be a perfect fit in a scheme the Chicago Bears have been running for years. Taking sides NFL.com's Vic Carucci and Steve Wyche debate which team got the best of the trade that sends Jay Cutler to Chicago in exchange for draft picks and Kyle Orton. More ... This was commented on earlier during another thread. The thought of Cutler moving out of the pocket might actually make better sense. He seemed to do better while in Denver doing this. I don't think Cutler is made to be a pocket passer. Although Jason always thought Cutler HAD to run I always was of the opinion he chose to be more mobile. With Trestman it really isn't all that much a stretch since Steve Young, who was coached by Trestman, was pretty successful as a mobile QB. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...1104-story.html

Coach Pagano hosted his 7th annual cancer benefit tailgate in Indy. Most all the Bears coaching staff went along to include Pace and McCaskey. Gotta hand it to these guys and their ‘family centric’ theme. Not only do they keep talking the talk..they walk the walk. That’s some good sh*t. https://bearswire.usatoday.com/2019/05/10/bears-brass-supports-new-defensive-coordinator-chuck-pagano-at-chuck-strong-gala/

I would just like to note that Tommy Harris certainly seems to be a player that the Bears can be proud of, and one that us fans should get behind. Besides his obvious physical skills, his behaviour off the field is consistent with what one would would expect of a player making millions of dollars. What a refreshing change from idiots who have children out of wedlock and get their private lives smeared all over town, leave their Lambo crashed on the side of the highway and initially claim it was stolen, and make profane and arrogant comments via the media about the Bears organization. I would rather lose than see punks like that play for the Bears. I am sick to d…

Chicago Bears Quarterbacks 1979-2008 by Roy Taylor © 2007 By popular demand, I had to update this article to reflect changes in 2008. I certainly wish we were talking about Rex Grossman having success as a 16-game starter in 2007, leading the Bears to another Super Bowl, but as we all know the situation has been far from that. The Chicago Bears have now changed their starting quarterback 42 times since 1992, by my count. We've had a lot of questions here on the number of starting quarterbacks the Bears have had, mainly since Brett Favre's reign of terror began. We'll do that one better and go back to 1979 in chronological order. Why 1979? Surely the story goes…

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000064...for-2016-season I think this is good for the game and will change the game. It is common to get a chop block on the outside when a team wants a quick WR screen or inside slant. This should increase chances of getting to the QB too because OTs who get beat to the edge can't dive out there to take out the legs of the DE or LB. I expect some linemen will struggle with this and some RBs who like to dive into the knees of oncoming defenders instead of squarely taking on the player.
