http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...e-tag-an-option I remember someone questioning if Jay has bought in. Here is a part of this article that kind of talks about it. “I’ve said it before: I’m convinced that Jay is a franchise quarterback,” Emery said. “The rest of that as far as where we are going in the future, we’ll work out that in the offseason. Certainly I’m pleased with Jay. I think he’s grown in certain areas. When he’s been healthy and been on the field this year, he’s been playing at his highest level ever during the course of his career. "I think he’s improved in the leadership area. I think his demeanor has improved. I think the time off…

Hear me out... I was driving to work today thinking about how poor the production from every other WR has been. There is no doubt that Cutler has zeroed in on Marshall to the point of ignoring other WRs and forcing it into multi-player coverage on Marshall, but how has it really affected the other players who get significant receptions? Forte is significantly down (on pace for 38 rec). Sanz is significantly down (on pace for 2 rec. Hester is even (on pace for 26 rec). Davis is very slightly down (on pace for 19 rec). Bennett is slightly up (on pace for 29 rec). I know Knox's numbers last year and Alshon's early season production this year skew thin…

In the last two games he has allowed 3 receptions for 16 yards on 12 targets with 3 PBUs, an INT, and a forced fumble + fumble recovery. PFF had the LVR game as his highest graded game of his career at 93.3 and the DAL game was his 3rd best. So in the last two weeks, Stevenson had 2 of his top 3 games of his career, and both games he was technically CB1. This is year 3 for him, but if he keeps this up, the Bears may want to get in front of an extension because he will only get more expensive.

It seems that everyone knows how to exploit it. Everyone understands the gaps and holes. And, most importantly, when the Bears go to it exclusively, they get raped. Is it because it's a passive approach? OR Is it because the Bears don't have the personnel to run it any more? Either way, the Bears almost let a win go yet again. This "playing not to lose" crap has killed the Bears this year, and it appears that Lovie and crew haven't learned their lessons. Thank goodness the offense and ST put up so many points today, because those last ten points to the Vikings were way too easy.

Has there been a Jarron Gilbert Sighting? I have not heard much of this guy and do not recall seeing him in any significant fashion during the first 2 games.

Seahawks Add WR Mike Hass by Ed Thompson of ScoutNFLNetwork.com, January 7, 2009 at 9:29pm ET Mike Hass Profile Scout.com has learned that former Chicago Bears wide receiver Mike Hass signed a two-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks on Wednesday. Hass, who was released by the Bears at the end of August, had drawn early-season interest from both the Giants and the Seahawks. He was originally a sixth-round draft pick by the New Orleans Saints back in 2006.

I'm anxiously awaiting the preseason games to see how our WR situation will settle out. What seems clear is that Hass is again catching everything thrown at him. In some of the highlight videos I see him out there against the #1 defense catching passes all over the field including deep against Vasher. What we appear to know so far is that Hester isn't going anywhere, neither is Bennett or Davis. It seems Lloyd has played well and seems headed for a roster spot although his big question mark has been toughness and that can only be seen in some of these preseason games. Given what I've heard so far I think he's on the final roster. I believe with Hester s…

This reminds me of when Griese killed the Bears a few years ago. This Cover-2 shit is just not a good defensive scheme if the opponent has a patient QB who is willing to chuck the ball for 7 yards at a time. It's the same thing that happened in the Super Bowl. Eventually, the DBs are naturally going to step in a bit, wanting to stop the quick passes and perpetual first downs. And then what happens? The deep outs and the seam passes are open. This defensive scheme just sucks. I hate its passive nature, and the way it can turn stud players into average players.

Does anyone else relize just how terrible our offense looks right now. Starting Recievers Mark "sheila" Bradley Devin Hester Runningback Cedric "im gonna run for 2000 yards" Benson QB Rex Grossman Kyle Orton Its sounds like the last round of a 12person fantasy draft. My god its pathetic. Jerry better get off his ass and sign a few free agents to shore up the Oline and draft some frikkin talent. Heres my ideal FA - SHane Olivea, Max Starks, DJ Hackett Draft - As our picks stand now 1. Rashard Mendenhall 2. James Hardy or Malcolm Kelly 3. Chad Henne 3. Oniel Cousins 4. Josh Barrett or Quintin Demps 5. Dre Moore

I was listening to the radio this morning. One of the guests, while discussing the game said something to the effect that there were things that need to be "cleaned up", "corrected", and "coached up". I'm sorry but I can't stand these three phrases anymore. Cleaned up means squat; if a player at this point in his career can't figure out what his game responsibilities are, then they can't be corrected and maybe, just maybe, the player sucks. Coached up to me signifies that there is some amazing exponential growth potential just sitting there. I guess what I am saying is these three overused comments make it sound like that some phenomenal change is sitting there …

Mad L got me to the podium as a Parcells hater and I stand here now to vent my disdain for what I think is an over hyped windbag so here goes; Hi My name is Lemonej Iam a Parcells hater(pause)(applause). With my confessing of this hatrid I hope to feel cleanse but I still need to vent. Bill Parcells had these HOFs in his group plan Belichick, Lawrence Taylor and Harry Carson. Maybe Ty Law and Jumbo Elliott. George Young acquired his talent at NY and he has only been able to identify one positon in the draft better than everyone else and that is rush LB. LT, Willie McGinest and DeMarcus Ware says he knows this position but his lack of patience for WRs and QBs lead m…

They beat our arse in the most important game of the year. They deserve to go to the playoffs and we do not. The last 2 losses on the road are a direct reflection on our coaching staff. If they cannot turn this around and get the team to 9-7 or better then they should go. This has nothing to do with the 'fire and the passion' but instead the fact they are being out coached repeatedly. I know they will be here for 1 more yr but that doesn't excuse the mess they have created. Peace
