We should improve with health alone, but didn't do much in this draft to make an early impact.. With that going and the toughest 1st half of the season schedule in the NFL, I will give them a one win increase, because I see the young guys playing more later this season, decreasing the chance to win. A 4-12 record could happen which nets them top 2-4 draft pick. Since they have their QB of the future drafted, they can now trade down with that pick which should be hot if the QBs coming up are what the say. That pick should net the Bears multiple 1sts and 2nds in both 2018 & 2019.

I know most Bear fans like me cannot wait until the Bears dedicate building the D back into the Monster we have seen. The current roster situation seems to dictate at least one more trip to the well for offense. There will be defensive additions but I forecast offense early in the next draft. My forecasted needs as of now will be OLT, CB, WR, DT, and LB. RD1- OLT - this depends on how well Charles Leno Jr performs on his final year under contract, but his mediocre performances may sway Pace to find a superior blindside protector for his prize QB. For Trubisky to be his best, he will need a clean pocket. Names to watch: Mike McGlinchey ND, Connor Williams Tex, …

This is a boring time of the year so I was looking at the roster and seen some names that could come out and surprise us. Johnathan Banks/CB he was a second round pick, and was very productive his first two seasons in the NFL. 7 interceptions and 15 PBUs. He is 6-2 185, has decent speed and quickness to the ball. Has 34" arms, and was compaed to Aqib Tileb coming out.He seemed to got lost when their was a regime change in Tampa and then after being traded to the Lions got lost in transition. At 27 he is in his prime time of playing, he fits the scheme and probably feels he needs to prove something for being bounced around. I suspect a productive player …

This was off of NFL mock drafts-and here we go 1st round-traded with SF and get 30th,2nd,3rd,and 4th(I actually believe this will happen) our first pick is Donald/DT-seems unrealistic that he drops to 30th, but hell, Im game 2nd-a Bucannon/S - a potential starter his first year. 2nd-b Borland/MLB- absolutely a need for our team.-toughtackler,high motor 3rd-a Breeland/CB-tough, long, with a attitude 3rd-b Fuergson/DT- a nose tackle prospect-DL is now completely rebuilt 4th-a Hampton/CB- good STs player his first year with room to grow 4th-b Sims/RB- now we start with O backup depth 5th Latimer/WR - a big WR ---why n…

Buried at the end of this article is a line about how Emery wanted SMC moved to LB back when Smith was still in town. ---------------------------------------------- http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...s-trade-for-suh But I think what a lot of folks don’t know is that, according to sources, Emery actually wanted that transition to take place a lot sooner, but Smith was reluctant to move McClellin to linebacker. ---------------------------------------------- If true it seems to indicate that SMC was somewhat of a Lovie choice although that does not absolve Emery at all for the pick. He had other options on the board at the time in Chandler Jones …

The battle for LB is clearly going to be the most competitive position battle in training camp. I put the battle for safety spots right behind it because I think the talent at LB is better overall. We have Briggs as the only player slotted to a role. After him we have D.J. Williams, SMC, Bostic, Greene, and toss in UDFA Christian Jones. Reggie Herring was very complimentary of SMC and Bostic when he recently stated either could have started for him at MLB in Dallas or Houston. DJ says he's not going to the bench without a fight. ESPN's Michael Wright doesn't even have Greene making the final cut with the team preferring Jordan Senn's special teams abilities…

This was commented on earlier during another thread. The thought of Cutler moving out of the pocket might actually make better sense. He seemed to do better while in Denver doing this. I don't think Cutler is made to be a pocket passer. Although Jason always thought Cutler HAD to run I always was of the opinion he chose to be more mobile. With Trestman it really isn't all that much a stretch since Steve Young, who was coached by Trestman, was pretty successful as a mobile QB. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...1104-story.html

how the mccaskey family has failed to learn ANYTHING in regards to running an NFL franchise after 35 years, since mugs halas died in 1979, is truly unbelievable. they put the boy genius mikey in charge and he personally drove this franchise into the ground for over 30 years with bad decisions. after 20 years it became so bad and he was taking so much heat from fans and the media that they moved their financier and vice president ted phillips (supposedly) into mikey's spot as president and GM to take the spotlight off their golden boy genius son and demoted him to gardener. off to mowing the grass at halas hall huh mikey? right! meanwhile the 'family' gave us the…

Saw this on another board. This is from someone who "supposedly" has a close connection to someone within the Bears organization. Take it for what you will, but the individual indicates the Bears will announce they have hired Pace prior to interviewing Bowles.
