http://www.csnchicago.com/bears/source-lan...turn-bears-2015 They just made it official. Now I am waiting for Briggs response. He really fell off the last two years and was part of the declining defense.

Bears' Dvoracek finally fit for duty I am a huge Dusty fan and am anxious to see him back on the field tonight. This guy, if he can remain healthy, along with Harrison & Idonoje, will give us the best defensive tackle rotation in the NFL, PERIOD, no questions asked.

Wouldn't it be nice??? Bears 1985 I especially like the Payton part in the middle...truly poetry in motion and the part when Covert is planting LT. The Bears of 2008 could so much be like these guys. Singletary = Urlacher Wilson = Briggs Dent = Ogunleye/A. Brown McMichael = Dvoracek Fencik = M. Brown Frazier = Tillman Suhey = McKie Hilgenburg = Kreutz Butler = Gould McMahon = Orton (a bit of a stretch??) Payton = Forte (I know, a REAL stretch and blasphemy..but similar no?) The others the 2008 team needs; Hampton, Gault, Van Horne, Covert, Marshall, Bortz, Perry, Thayer and especially Ditka. A swift kick wouldn't h…

We are all huge Bears fans and just like football, thats why were on this blog. I am a glass half full person, so I always think the powers that be are always doing the right thing. I thought they must be pretty smart to get us to a Super Bowl in 06 with a top 15 RB, a top 20 WR, and not much at QB, but the last two years I have lost my faith in Loveme, and JerryGM. We have had lousy drafts as a whole and make lots of mistakes with the personal. I think they have made bad desicions in the couching area also. So the half empty glass has creeped in. We are 16 and 16 the last two years. I want everything they do to turn out ok, because it will make my team a winner but that …

Chester Taylor to the Texans might make sense for the Bears: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-for-bears.html This is by Sean Jenson. The Texans have their 4 top running backs hurt so they might be interested in giving up a late round draft pick for Taylor who is due 1.25 million this year. He also mentions that Khalil Bell is a core special teams player and looked good Saturday. Meanwhile, Taylor carried the ball 3 times for 3 yards. I can't remember ever seeing Taylor with the Bears and thinking anything but, "He might be a servicable running back who blocks well." Marion looked like a freaking beast. On a side note, Unga rush…

All three attended USFs pro day who had McClain DT as the main attraction. When is the last time all three went somewhere together? Sounds like major interest. He's 6'1" 300 lbs, 4.8 in the 40. Had 4 TFL and 4 sacks. Athletic but not productive. Only had 24 tackles. Not worthy of a high pick IMO. Was ranked 13rh in PFW draft book. I would be ok with this pick in the 4th or maybe 3rd, but sounds like alot of work and project.

Green Bay announced Dom Capers as their new DC. So, it looks like they will be switching to a 3-4 D. Most likely not right away, but they will probably work in the 3-4 as Dom Capers is a 3-4 guy. They will be only the 4th NFC team to run some form of the 3-4. This scares me because I still don't trust Turner, and not sure if he can make adjustments in his schemes to face the 3-4. However, he'll have to as we are going to be facing 7 teams that will be running some form of the 3-4 next year, after not having to facing a single 3-4 team, let alone 3-4 front last year, and only 2 in 2007. However, luckily for us, Green Bay doesn't have the personal for a 3-4 just yet, a…

From the Sun-Times this morning: "If the varied opinions on the Bears' acquisition of Jay Cutler has bothered the quarterback, he certainly didn't show it Saturday when he made his first Chicago appearance for his foundation working with kids with diabetes. 'I think every quarterback in the NFL has a lot of pressure,' Cutler said. 'Anywhere you go you're going to have pressure. Obviously, Chicago has great fans and great tradition. They expect a lot. And, I expect a lot out of myself. It's going to be a fun year.' Tony Dungy, Mike Ditka and Rodney Harrison have all questioned Cutler to some degree in recent weeks, and the quarterback had not visited with me…

Passing on a rumor from a friend of a friend who has contacts in the Rams from office. The Bears apparently called them offering Greg Olsen and the Bears third rounder for the Rams second rounder and a mid to late 2011 pick. The Rams turned it down, but agreed to talk more on draft day. Apparently the Rams would like a TE, and want to see what is avaiable when they pick at the open of the second round. If the guy they like is gone, they may talk more with the Bears.

Undrafted FA in 2011 out of Humboldt State (where) formerly of Jets who has not appeared in a regular season game. Probably just another guy, but at least the Bears are getting bodies to back up nearly every position. Led the blocking for HSU's running game, which accumulated a GNAC-best 2,239 yards. He also anchored a unit that ranked fifth overall among NCAA Division II programs for least quarterback sacks allowed, surrendering only eight in 11 games. Boggs has twice been honored as a Strength and Conditioning All-American. 2nd Team JB Scouting All-American; 1st team All Super Region 4; GNAC offensive Lineman of the year; 1st team unanimous all GNAC team; 2nd team…

I know it's early and hamstrings aren't always a big deal but... There is some concern with injury bug for AJ, at least for me. If for nothing else to take note of. Maybe even better that Aromashadu is in the team. http://m.espn.go.com/general/blogs/blogpos...amp;src=desktop

I was listening to the radio this morning. One of the guests, while discussing the game said something to the effect that there were things that need to be "cleaned up", "corrected", and "coached up". I'm sorry but I can't stand these three phrases anymore. Cleaned up means squat; if a player at this point in his career can't figure out what his game responsibilities are, then they can't be corrected and maybe, just maybe, the player sucks. Coached up to me signifies that there is some amazing exponential growth potential just sitting there. I guess what I am saying is these three overused comments make it sound like that some phenomenal change is sitting there …
