Likely a question for later in the offseason, but hey, I'm bored:) So I am reading a couple articles on Marinelli, and I think the consensus is Marinelli will be good for the DL, and that Marinelli is a solid "teacher" who will elevate the play of the DL. I got the feedback on Cassell and it seemed to be about half for a trade and half against. In any case the draft pick had to no higher than a second or lower. Now there's some talk in Phoenix of the Cards considering trading Leinart. After getting to the playoffs I don't think they have a choice but to re-sign Warner and effectively make him the starter for next year. That means they can free up cap space and get another draft pick if they trade Leinart. My opinion is that Leinart doesn't have the work ethic to really succeed in the NFL. I just got off the phone with Tim Ryan and Pat Kirwan from Moving The Chains. A few callers before a guy named Super Bowl Shuffle was talking to them about the criticisms Jerry Angelo receives. They said that Jerry told them there was a situation happening he couldnt do anything about because of a lack of cash. Ha wasn't given permission to spend the cash needed to make a move he said, quoting the hosts, "made him sick in the stomach." Williams after not being able to trade him. Williams confirmed his release Thursday, March 5. His release will save the team about $2 million against the salary cap. Is he worth a look? While not the top tire list of needs, I think he'd be a good addition and an improvement over McKie. Not sure it even matters as he played most games and it seems JA's only looking for guys with only 1 start in FA... Sorry, couldn't resist the dig!

I had always kind of figured on the Bears drafting a WR early (round 1 or 2) and then another WR late (round 5-7), but the way the draft is shaping up, I wonder if it might be wise to go WR with both 3rd round picks. Let's say an OT is the pick in the first (Britton would be the most likely candidate here). If you want a FS to compete right away for a starting spot (and, personally, I do) I think the second round is the place to get one, whether you want one of the projects (Sean Smith or Jairus Byrd) or one of the true FSs (Louis Delmas, Rashad Johnson, Darcel McBath, William Moore). Just wanted to throw out an update I read about Nicks. Parcells and Sporano went to NC to hold a private workout w/ Nicks. That alone is somewhat newsworthy as Parcells rarely travels for such visits. Thus, if you believe Parcells is a good talent evaluator, this may mean something. At the workout, Nicks weight 216, which is 10 lbs less than what he weighed at the schools pro day and w/ in 2 lbs of his combine weight.
