Okay, I realize we have a lot of injuries, but Bennett and some others are still good to go, yet Hester is handling all return (punt/kickoff) duties so far. Question is, are we seeing (a) Team showcase Hester for the purpose of a future trade? ( Team trying to get a look to see if Hester can return to this role in the future, or © Team simply going w/ Hester due to a shortage of bodies.

  4. From 2011-2020, there are only 2 NFL teams that are in the top 5 in the league in the following schedule categories: 1. Games with less rest than opponents (NYG - 2nd (39), CHI - 5th (31)) 2. # of short week road games (NYG - T/1st (16), CHI - T/4th (14)) 3. # of games off road SNF or MNF (NYG - 2nd (20), CHI - T/4th (17)) Overall with all the other factors, the Bears had the 27th worst scheduling variables over the past decade and one of the biggest disparities between division opponents (27th > GB 13th, Vikings 12th, Lions 4th). Seattle (30th) to LAR (14th) was the biggest. https://www.nbcsports.com/edge/article/offseason-research/teams-most-impa…

  5. I was messaging with scs about how we view the board and was wondering how everyone views the threads... Do you guys view in standard mode or outline mode? (or other?) I view in outline since I don't necessarily care what the most recent post is, but instead to follow a specific sub-thread or conversation.

So while reading about Ray "dipshit" McDonalds departure from the team I started seeing commentary about the possibility of Jets DLman Mo Wilkerson being dangled as trade bait. So far the Jets have publicly said they intend to keep him but he's apparently in a contract year, holding out AND they just drafted Leonard Williams. Some of the concerns obviously are his demand for a big contract and that our team has other needs than just DL. But... Is Wilkerson impactful enough to make a difference to the new defense that Fangio is working to implement? And could Martellus Bennett being offered in a trade to the Jets sweeten the deal? http://m.bleacherreport.com/arti…

When asked why people hate Cutler, Sapp responded "To sum it up in one word, body language." Oh and the picks were 2 for GB, 1 for Bears, and 1 no decision.

Points of View, June 2, 2008 http://chicagobearsfanforum.com/blog/?p=261 The Bears * Brad Biggs of the Chicago Sun-Times reports that WRs coach Darryl Drake believes the wide receivers are better this year even without Bernard Berrian and Muhsin Muhammad: "There's a lot more explosion out here right now." I want to believe... * Mike Mulligan, also of the Sun-Times has a fluff piece today on Devin Hester in which he says Hester needs to be paid. The part the stuck out to me were one or two comments from Drake like this one: "He has as good a pair of hands as anybody. And then his natural ability to run after…

Gould needs two field goals to become NFL's top kicker Posted: 11/4/2009 1:43:00 PM If Robbie Gould makes his next two field goal attempts, he will surpass Mike Vanderjagt to become the most accurate kicker in NFL history. Gould has connected on 120 of 139 attempts in five seasons with the Bears, an 86.3 percent success rate that’s just below the retired Vanderjagt, who made 86.5 percent of his kicks (230 of 266) in nine seasons with the Colts and Cowboys. The Chargers’ Nate Kaeding is third at 85.8 percent (133 of 155). “It would be a great honor to get it, but once you get it you’ve got to be able to hold it,” Gould said. “I’m not going to stop working u…

I have read many articles that said Daniels had problems reading his calls on the DL when playing center. Which was the main reason for him moving. Not a whole lot saying he could not physically play the position. Playing center would also allow him to have help from either guard and vice versos would allow hime to help from either side. But maybe I'm wrong. My question is why does the center have to make the calls. Why can't one of the guards do that like WH playing left guard with Daniels playing center. it can't be just seeing the alignment of the defense. Any of the guards or center would see that clearly. What am I missing

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago-bears/post...nd-charles-leno LAKE FOREST, Ill. -- There is uncertainty surrounding the Chicago Bears' left tackle position since Charles Leno played reasonably well filling in for veteran Jermon Bushrod (concussion/shoulder) the past three games. ...... “When you guys figure it out let me know,” offensive line coach Dave Magazu said. “I don’t know. I haven’t gotten that far. That will be something we discuss and move on from there. I don’t know. I’m not even lying. And I don’t have a problem lying to you guys.” ---------------------------------------------------------------- Bushrod has struggled with speed as usual…
