With all the negativity surrounding his play Glennon accepted his demotion with more class and dignity than anyone has in the past other than Kurt Warner when the Giants put Eli Manning in for him. Glennon vowed to help Trubisky any way he can and be ready if called upon again. That's putting team before personal goals magnified.

Bears WR Markus Wheaton will be sidelined 4-6 weeks with a torn groin. The Bears' supposed No. 2 receiver has been racked with injury since the early days of camp. He has one catch in three games. The team could opt to cut its 2017 losses and place Wheaton on injured reserve instead of waiting for him to get healthy. Limited to six games the past two years, Wheaton isn't much of a hold in Dynasty leagues. Source: Adam Jahns on Twitter Oct 12 - 5:49 PM

New Orleans Saints wideout Marques Colston suffered a broken collarbone Thursday and will be out 4-6 weeks. With Marques Colston out for an extended period of time. With Colston out for a prolonged period and Lance Moore battling a nagging groin injury, the Saints top two wideouts from 2010 are down. The pressure will be on Devery Henderson and Robert Meachem to pick up the slack in the meantime. Which gives the Bears secondary a great advantage on Sunday.

For the sake of my sanity I'm trying to make lite of this current situation by trying to laugh instead of scream. 1) Frank Omayele to defensive tackle: His anticipating the snap would have him in the opponents backfield on every down. 2) Stephen Paea to offensive guard: Why not he is not playing on defense so try him at guard he may become the next Mark Bortz. 2) Roy Williams to safety: Since he is basically invisible on offense he should help the Bears disguise some of their coverages in the secondary and with his hands he would lead the league inpasses defended. 4)Tyler Clutts to defensive end : He returns to his college position to help spell Pepper…

Not talked about on this board at all is how Paea blew up Adrian Peterson on his sack of McNabb in the endzone. I saw it during the in=game reply and laughed. Paea doesn't even slow down or change direction and Peterson looks as if he doesn't know what hit him. Video is at this link: http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/BearDownoftheWeek.asp There were many good things to come out of the Vikings game, especially the work Hester did. However, finally seeing our 2nd rd pick contribute in this way gives me more hope for the rest of the season.

After sleeping on the loss, here's what comes to mind... 1. The obvious. Our offense is offensive w/o Cutty and Forte. Hanie is simply not a pro QB. He didn't lose the game for us yesterday. But he did the last 2 weeks. Barber ran well, except at the end when he forgot he had a brain. He failed football 101 twice. Stay in bounds, hold onto the ball. He cost us the game. 2. The D did their job. Yes I hate that prevent crap...but it did what the intention was..waste time. Had Barber not failed, we'd be more than OK with the meager 7 points given up. However with that said, I still would rather then give up points being aggressive...it was working all …

When I watched the game against the Raiders I noted that Roy Williams looked faster than just about every other WR out of breaks in the pregame. And during the game he was open several times and just didn't see the ball. Why that happened is anyone's guess, but I'm 99% sure it's because he wasn't the first read and there wasn't enough time to get to the second read consistently. With Knox out, it appears that Williams is the #1 read and target...and was open. 6 catches for 81 yards could have easily been 7 for close to 100 if one other pass wasn't chucked at his feet. So it brings me to the question in the header, for those who have seen more games in person this…

http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2012/01/re...as_eyes_fo.html Truly how safe is Lovie, who is coming in as GM, and what kind of coaching staff they want in place? Things are going to be interesting in Chicago this offseason.
