I have to say I like emery just a hair more than ja... at least he addressed our wr core I loved the jeffery pick but that is about it lol... we will see one thing I do have to ask why the hell does it seem like only us fans and commentators and analysts and pretty much everyone else other than the gm and coaches see that our o line sucks??? I mean its EVERY YEAR it would be different if it was just every so often but cmon man the line sucks it don't matter that we got rid of martz and his seven step drops because half the time culter was either knocked on his ass or running for his life by his secord or third... our line sucks and it has to do with our coaches and evalua…

Draft Picks: 1st - Shea McClellin, DE 2nd - Alshon Jeffery, WR 3rd - Brandon Hardin, S 4th - Evan Rodriguez, TE 6th - Isaiah Frey, CB 7th - Greg McCoy, CB I am going with a B, actually B-. I think it was slightly above average with a few intriguing players. We could potentially see 4 impact players or as low as 1. I really don't count on the 6th or 7th rounders to do much other than provide depth or PS material.

I been hearing this crap from some posters that feel our scheme does not fit the players taken. Well let me be the first to inform you all. We have no idea what the scheme is!!! Tice in for Martz means quicker throws different line calls and audibles. Big difference from Martz. We also dont know what Marinelli has in store for the D. With no OTA's last year it put a crimp in what anyone could do. With Martz gone it makes for a real different offense on the field. So your criticisms are a moot point, You have no idea what our scheme is going to be anymore then I do.

The NFC in 2012 has the potential to be one of the best CONFERENCES ever. The Saints are still the Saints and still have Brees despite the bounties. At the worst, they're a 9-7 team. Cam Newton will continue to get better. The Bucs added good players in FA and drafted well. The Falcons are 42-21 since 2008 (IIRC) and they're always a good team. The Bears now have a great WR corps and the potential for a GREAT offense if Tice does well. The Packers are the Packers. The Vikings can be a 6-7 win team this year if Peterson is back considering their draft. The Lions will be solid if Stafford is healthy. SF is dangerous as they kept their whole D plus they …

Love Smith stated to the Tribune Coach Lovie Smith talked about adding talent to the line with former first-round picks Gabe Carimi and Chris Williams returning from injuries. But he wouldn't say if Williams will be back at left guard where he started nine games last season. "We've added a couple of guys and there are still a few options out there," Smith said. "Believe me, we want to do everything we can to open up holes for our running backs and protect Jay Cutler. We felt like we'll be able to do that." Hopeful is all I can say http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0,2679683.story

None of us on here are pro scouts or work for a NFL team so we have to take our opinions as little valve in the scheme of things. The draft always intrigues me and spend a lot of time checking out draft sites, mock drafts, ect. and would have made different choices at every point of the draft, but it is like a hobby for me and not my job. I have liked what Emery has done in FAgency and will have to give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and see how this draft class turns out. McCellin-I as well as others seen him in a OLB spot but that doenst mean he cant play DE in a down position, What I like, his name is easy to spell, football instincts, high motor, speed, foo…

Let's face it, nobody here predicted this draft would unfold the way it did. You guys know me, I'm a glass half full koolaid drinker. But... Most of this draft clearly fits into the following categories: 1 Reach 2 Risky 3 Tweener. Now as a fan I have to give Emery a chance to prove himself and so I will. We all hope for the best. But frankly, Emery's history with KC doesn't fill me with confidence and this draft looks flawed. I guess getting Marshall makes me feel a little more comfortable with Emery but given that even that was tainted by the charges and this player's mental health condition, the jury is out.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post..._medium=twitter James Brown OT: Troy I watched this guy sit around in the 3rd to the end... Wondered why nobody grabbed him -From WALTER Football James Brown, OT, Troy Height: 6-4. Weight: 306. 40 Time: 5.30. 10-yd Split: 1.84. Bench: 24. Arm: 34 1/2. Hand: 10 1/4. Projected Round (2012): 2-4. 4/24/12: Brown is a sleeper prospect who flashed at the Senior Bowl. Against elite competition, he showed some real quickness and athletic ability. If you really take a look at our roster we have 12 O linemen, 3 that can play center,9 that can play guard, and 4 that can play tackle. I know that it does not equal 12....thats because some of the players have played two positions. Now we have listed at OT Webb, Carimi, Horn, Louis. WE have Garza C/OG at center And at guard we have Spencer C/OG, Louis OG/OT, Rachal, E.Williams OG/C, C.Williams OT/OG, Henry,Stephens,Wrotto. Now we got Brown as a UDFA to throw in the mix so do we keep the same starters from last year or are we going to let them fight it out. Webb, C.Williams Brown at LT.....Rachal, E.Williams at LG Garza and Spencer at center, Louis, Garza Spencer at RG..C…

Something different. Curious as to how some here came up with their usernames. Some are obvious (like mine) and others not so obvious. For me, the Bears4Ever came from a site I used to visit back in the day called "Bulls4Ever" which has since been transformed into RealGM. The 34 came from Walter Payton, whom I was named after (Payton is my first name). I debated using Sweetness34 but stuck with Bears4Ever. I've been a Bears and Bulls fan since I was about 8 or so, which was around the time I started sitting down and actually remembering games that I had watched with my dad. Unfortunately I grew up during the dog days of Bears football and Bulls basketball. Right arou…

I'm thinking Bengals and Steelers. The Bengals grabbed multiple guys that have been talked about on this board. They could have 5 or 6 first day starters. DB Dre Kirkpatrick DT Devon Still OG Kevin Zeitler TE Orson Charles WRs Mohamed Sanu and Marvin Jones Pittsburgh built up both OL and DL, because they know the war is won in the trenches. OG David DeCastro OT Mike Adams DT Alameda Ta'amu LB Sean Spence

CNNSI gives the Bears a C. Fox Sports says C-. And Fox News (how is it different?) gives a C+ TBO Sports calls stays in the same shot group with a C. Bleacher Report gave an uncharacteristic A. CBS Sports is the only one that seems to dislike the Jeffery pick, and gives a C. Miami Herald has questions about all the picks, C+ AOL gives an A-, and thinks the additions push the vets. FF Toolbox gave the Bears a D, and have some sort of scoring system I didn't even try to understand Rotoworld gives the Bears a B+, and calls McClellin a "Joker" Looks like the draft, if multiple opinions are to be considered, is pretty much a C.

Our number one pick was asked if chasing chickens on the farm compares to chasing NFL quarterbacks. And his answer was"Well, you have to have agility to chase chickens," he said, "so I guess it's similar." I just hope he makes chickens out of Rodgers and Stafford and the rest of the QB'S we face this year. The man was chasing chickens......thats hard!!. But there is a high school team down in Florida that does their training by running after rabbits. Now you're ass has got to be fast to catch a rabbit!

Since the draft didnt do anything for us there still are some veterans out there. Hanyesworth-a worth ethic problem, but if fire lit under his ass, as a NT you slide Paea over to 3 tech, as I remember when drafted he was quick enough to play there. Franklin-older vet that would only be a NT, see first note Bernard-older vet that would only be a NT, see first note J. Miller- on the roster, not yet given the chance, has interesting speed Cameron-UFA signing that probably wont make the roster Sign A Carter and move Ildonije to DT, only if McClellin pans out Not a lot of choices, unless others DL are dropped as the draftees players fill ther…

Just read on NFL.com what we all suspected, and hoped for, that the Bears are going to change Hester's role in the offense and he will be basically a #4 WR to come in on certain situations, packages. Here is a link to the article: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d828c..._headline_stack
