I participated in a 4 round mock draft with our old affiliation (www.nflfans.com) this morning. Pretty much every team had a representative, no trades, and we went straight through in about 2 1/2 hours. Things did not go at all as I had expected them to, so I thought I would share my picks, my thoughts, and the full results: 1) Mark Sanchez, QB, USC - I was truly unprepared for Sanchez to be here and had been preparing to take a WR. But Maclin went right before my pick and all the next WRs batch (DHB, Britt, Nicks, Robiskie, Harvin) were still on the board. Was just talking to my Buddy who is a Browns fan, he mentioned The Raven are not good. Special Teams Article at Bears Site They just posted the 9th and final position article on the Bears Website. To be honest, the previous 8 I found very uninteresting as it seemed like typical coach-speak and gave really no information we did not already know or suspected. This one actually was interesting to me and gave an insight to some changes in special teams that might take place. If you have yet to go to the team site (my home page, LOL) you should check out the article. It talks about some changes being made in personel, a change in Goulds KO technique, players to keep an eye on with special teams, etc... Good stuff!!

It's been one very quiet week on the board after all the Indy chat died down. Usually you see multiple posts about game plans or certain players needing to step up. IMO it appears nobody has a clue what to expect out of our team tomorrow although there is more excitement and optimism than before the Indy game. At least those are my feelings heading into Carolina. I'm not expecting as much of a running game tomorrow, at least it will be a lot tougher than we had it at Indy. On offense it seems to me we need our WR and TEs to step up and make plays in the passing game. They were pretty quiet against Indy. Are we still going with WR by committee? If Carol…

I just read a Bleacher Report article and they had Marshall listed as the 6th best WR in the league, and I think that fits. Although they had Percy Harvin listed as #2, not so sure about that. C. Johnson-1 Harvin-2 Green-3 A. Johnson-4 R.White-5

Things I've noticed in TC videos: -Alot of passes are going to the TEs, all 3 of them, nice -We are running alot of screens -Several "Wolfe up the middle plays" =/ -Forte looks alot faster and agile than he looked in the college videos I saw right after the draft -Pass protection is scaring me, Qbs are having to step up a whole lot with not much time

Maybe I'm showing my naivete here but: in watching Lovie on the sideline, the past many years the closest I ever saw him to even saying anything into the headset or even addressing anyone on the sideline was to pull the microphone down by his mouth, hesitate for a second, then put it back up. On Sunday vs. Bengals, he wasn't even wearing the earpiece right, it was over his cheek or jaw for a lot of the game. Doesn't exactly give me confidence that he's in any kind of control.

Browns announced Anderson will remain the starter for this weeks game versus the Bears.

NBCSports.com's Tom Curran has confirmed that Randy Moss has agreed to a three-year, $27 million to remain a Patriot. It's uncertain if Moss' efforts to get other teams involved helped, but he's only making $1.33 million-per-year more than Bernard Berrian. His guaranteed money was increased.
