"But his preseason performance was more notable for the passes he dropped than anything he caught. Owens dropped a potential 46-yard touchdown against Denver on a perfect throw from Matt Flynn. He failed to make a catch in any of his five targets against the Broncos and then had another glaring drop against Kansas City on Friday night." BWAAAAAAA HA HA HA.

Chicago Tribune According to the article it was a scope and the plan currently is that he will be ready for Indy. Even if his timetable is 3 weeks to return, I can't imagine putting him out there after he has been sitting for 4 weeks. I bet he returns for week 3.

Unfortunate news for him, but this is what you get sometimes when drafting college players that have been through a serious injury. I was not too fond of this pick either. Last thing we need is more guys that can't stay on the field from the safety position. Get back and get healthy for next year Mr. Hardin. Also, learn how to tackle properly

Thanks to Bradjock for sending me the reminder. I need to know if all the owners are planning on returning. Invites have been sent out so if anyone doesnt plan on returning please let me know so I can invite them. Start thinking about your keepers and draft date. I currently have it set up for Sunday Sept 2nd but we can change it to suit everyone. I plan on proposing a change in defensive scoring for us to vote on and Ill let everyone know when I come up with something and we can vote. Due to the interest Ive had from people wanting to join the league and not having room I am going to be starting another pay league through the site. The amount and rules wil…

I had my fantasy draft in my 15 year old 12 team league. Needless to say, my buds are experienced and ruthless competitors. Anyway, they dogged my draft strategy this year, while I thought I was ahead of the curve. Here are my starters: QB_CUTLER WR_MEGATRON, FITZGERALD FLEX_DWAYNE BOWE RB_GORE, ISAAC REDMAN TE_JIMMY GRAHAM K_WHO CARES D/ST_BEARS, BILLS I'm weak at running back, but loaded at the receiving, flex, tight end, d/st and qb. I thought it was great, especially starting from the 7 spot. Thoughts? Be as brutal as needed...

    1. The offense is still a work in progress. Cutler just wasn't on the same page with the WR's + Forte. 2. Forte and Bush had no lanes to run through. 3. Jeffery had a TD drop with Cutler and a 1st down drop with Campbell. That's unacceptable. For as much heat as McClellin takes, Jeffery was just as unimpressive yesterday. 4. Nobody on the DL besides Peppers can get pressure. The Giants double, sometimes triple, teamed him yesterday and still nobody could step up. That's scary. 5. The ST has been the worst phase so far this preseason. Missed tackles, returns for TD's, long returns, etc. Toub must be pissed. 6. Webb > Williams. End it now. Williams looks disint…

  11. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ APLinebacker Brian Urlacher isn’t the only Bears defender dealing with a lingering injury. Defensive end Julius Peppers has a case of plantar fasciitis, which caused the team to schedule regular days off during camp. Peppers wouldn’t even tell Vaughn McClure of the Chicago Tribune which foot was bothering him, following the lead of Urlacher’s evasiveness. “I’d refer to it as soreness,” Peppers said. “General soreness.” Peppers hasn’t missed any game time this far, and looks like the same explosive player during the preseason. Bears coach Lovie Smith shrugged it off as a non-issue. “Guys f…

  12. I've restarted the FFL2 from last year. If you were in the league last year, please register. That way we will know how many slots we have to fill for the season. Also, we can change it to a keeper league if people are interested, and the draft time can be changed if the date selected doesn't work for a bunch of people.

http://www.kffl.com/hotw/NFL?page=3#ixzz24cQJMzSr The Chicago Bears are exploring the possibility of signing free-agent SS Charlie Peprah (Packers). The Green Bay Packers, Peprah's former team, reportedly released him after he failed a physical on the first day of training camp. Peprah did not participate in offseason workouts after having arthroscopic knee surgery. The Bears want to examine the knee before proceeding with signing him. The Chicago Bears will release WR Chris Summers and DE Derek Walker and will waive FS Trevor Coston and place| Brandon Hardin to be on IR

http://www.csnchicago.com/football-chicago...mp;feedID=10330 What I find interesting is that he didn't make mention of Kellen Davis when he talked about the Tight Ends. Really though, has there been much from Davis worth talking about to this point? Wasn't he supposed to be the "diamond in the rough" who this year was going to bust out? Beyond that, I could see a few possible losses in the veteran ranks that Mullin mentions, but also on the Defense as well. Probably more like the ones that were signed this last offseason (IE: Hayden, Willhite).

  16. Here's your real chance offensive line, try to get everyone in a groove. Jason Pierre-Paul is expected to miss the game with back stiffness. Bears missing safeties Conte and Hardin, Steltz and UDFA Anthony Walters expected to step in at safety. Adam Podlesh, Bears punter, likely to miss game and long term status still undetermined, Rookie Ryan Quigley will get a trial tomorrow night. Urlacher, obviously, still out. First roster cuts, down to 75, due Monday.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...admires-jeffery The Marshal Jeffrey combo could be deadly. There are not many teams with two shut down corners that can hang with these two when it comes to height.

ChitownMan just sent me a message about going to the Rams game and tailgating. I think it would be great to get everyone on here together for a pregame party. I tailgate in the premium south lot for every game. If anyone else is interested in getting together let me know! GO BEARS!

I'll check out the game on NFL Network tomorrow but I'm surprised nobody has any comments yet. From the highlights I've seen it appears our Oline played well, not dominant but good enough to allow the playmakers time to do their thing. The Cutler to Marshall connection is definitely alive and well.
