Matt Forte is a stud. I loved this guy coming out and he reminds me of Brian Westbrook- he can catch it and run it, and he could have 3 TDs so far rushing. This guy is going to be our back for a long time now, barring injuries. Thoughts?

The older I get the less I agree with being a sports traditionalist. I want exciting and cutting edge and more respect for what we can do offensively! Yes, I did love the way we pounded the rock in week one against Indy but we were able to dictate the pace and control the line of scrimmage. Week 2 has shown that right now if we do not control the line of scrimamge for 60 minutes we can not adjust to compete in a shoot out ala teams like the Broncos, Dallas, Philly, and Greenbay! In Baseball I think both leagues should have a DH casue I can't stand watching the pitcher bat. Pitching and def are very important in baseball as is running the ball and keeping the oppone…

Now that McGowan is out for the year what do we do...promote someone from the practice squad to take his place on the 53 man roster or sign someone off the FA wire. What do you think we should do. IMHO we should promote Bowman the CB since he made the 53 man roster in the first place. But do we need a back up at safety or are we happy with Brown,Payne Manning and Steltz

Monday, 12:33 p.m. The Bears terminated the contract of guard Tyler Reed this afternoon. Although he was in the running for a spot on the 53-man roster during training camp down in Bourbonnais, Reed hasn't been able to elevate himself off the practice squad in three years as a pro. Reed was originally a sixth-round selection of the Bears out of Penn State in the 2006 NFL Draft.

Metcalf was suspended for violating the league’s policy regarding anabolic steroids and related substances. The suspension is effective immediately. At work today, I couldn't help but to sit back and think about the Bears future. Here's the way I see it. While our defense is aging, we do have some young, starting, good players: Briggs is 27. A. Brown is 29. Dvoracek is 25. Harris is 25. Idonije is 27. Vasher is 26. Tillman is 27. Payne is 24. Harrison is 24. Graham is 23. Our defensive back-ups have looked good for what they've done, too. Roach is 23. Steltz is 22. J. Williams is 24. McBride is 23. LaRocque is 22. Bowman is 23. Also, Urlacher, Briggs, Wale, Adams, and Urlacher still have some productive years left, too, IMO. ZZ reported from the sideline in the 3rd quarter that Toub was livid. He walked over and pointed at Manning. Evidentally, he is tired of Devin's act on KO returns. I had called for this last week saying that Hester cannot, for whatever reason, handle all the responsibility he has. I am hoping they leave Manning on KO returns the rest of the yr. Peace

Let's face it guys, this Bears team isn't very good. Our QB play is reasonable and we have a solid young RB. But out O Line is old, beat up and not exactly great these days. Our receivers SUCK bigtime. On D, we can't tackle. We can't seem to play 3rd down either. At times, teams run at will on us and at others, we play the run well. Our special teams aren't very special anymore. Oh, and our coaches are so vanilla it makes me sick. But that isn't what this post is about. Our guys are our guys and I love them, regardless. And if a Packers fan said anything I've said above I'd beat him senseless... But with all of our obvious flaws, we're 7-6 and stil…

Hester is the only Bear leading his position in Pro Bowl balloting. I understand this game is a huge joke, but come on. Briggs and Gould are the only 2 that deserve to go, and MAYBE Forte.
