Are you a diehard Chicago Bears fan? If so, you've found the spot to discuss all things Chicago Bears. Discuss the Monster of the Midway right here as the Bears look to get back on track in 2024 and take the North and never give it back! Flaming is not allowed and all such posts will be deleted. After watching the Bears continue to get stuffed on the goal line, Jerry Angelo better draft oline (once again). I want to see us bring in some big gritty porkers that can control the line for years. Other needs I see DT, Harris is done. CB to bring depth/competition. RB-change of pace back w/ top end speed. DE to keep pressure on competition. LB to replace Hunter and play ST. 1-26 Mike Pouncey G Florida 6-5 320 Can play center also, but projects as a guard. Strength is his power at the point of attack and athleticism. 2-58 Kristopher O'Dowd C USC 6-5 298 Extemely strong center that excels in the run game. 3-90 Colby Whitlock DT Texas Tech 6…

    1. Cutler was bad, DO NOT get me wrong. But like Connor compared using the timeouts like an idiot last week bled over to this week, I think that NY game will forever be in the back of his mind. Every time he drops back, he's more than likely thinking he's going to get hit. Excuse? Yes. Viable excuse? Perhaps.. 1b. Also, this offense will continue to sputter as long as the WR's and Cutler aren't on the same page. Knox is an alright WR and all, but as long as he continues to drop 2-3 passes a game, he'll never be much more. 2. I thought the defense played terrific. Idonije has been a beast this year, and Peppers had a few hits on McNabb too. Tinoisamoa, in my mind…

Izzy and Manning. Both have played very well this year. You can also throw DJ Moore in the mix. He looks like he is the answer at nickel-back. Peace

  6. Started by GrizzlyBear,

Ill Take it, this was definately a dangerous game for the Bears. With New Englnad looming next week it woulda been very easy to be upset this game. Detroit is definately a dangerous team and the result was win, but it was ugly. ILL take it anyday. Go Bears.

If this is Farv's last game of all time, I'm buying a Wooten jersey at the end of the season.

Well there are areas of the game to pick at but several positives. 1. NFC North Champs 2. Clinched a Playoff spot 3. Hester with the Record in record time 4. Big win 40-14 a 26 point win should have been 33 point win but I'll take it. 5. We walk away healthy. 6. We may have put Favre away for good.

  10. Started by BearsFan1974,

As bad as we have looked in 2 of our losses (NYG and GB), we were still in both games. vs NYG - 9 sacks in the 1st half yet we were only down 3-0 at the half vs GB - 6 sacks and an Offensive Offense and we only lost 10-3 Even vs Dallas when we got our asses handed to us on the first couple of series, we buckled down, adjusted, and got the win. I am very optimistic going into the playoffs. Our Defense is playing well, even if we didn't get the pressure on Rodgers we wanted, we still held them to 10. I am going to say something that I hope I won't regret...I have faith in Martz, Tice, and Lovie to fix the problems that occured against GB. I believe our lin…

Watching the game today and saw Clark sitting on the sideline. Noticed him sitting there before and wonder if anyone knows what has happened to him? I'm a fan as he used to be the "go-to" guy for a couple years and suddenly nothing. With listening to some here express their dissatisfaction with the acquisition of Manumanuluena surely Clark would seem to be better option. But I dunno...

  16. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2011/...-criticism.html Staff report Nearly a week after the Bears' heartbreaking loss to the Green Bay Packers, Pro-Bowl linebacker Brian Urlacher is still baffled by the criticism of quarterback Jay Cutler by current and former players. Urlacher, appearing Friday morning on the WMVP-AM 1000's "Waddle & Silvy Show," said the shots on Twitter from the likes of the Jacksonville Jaguars' Maurice Jones Drew "pissed" him off. "Anyone who knows Jay and has played with Jay and seen the hits he's taken…

They may have won the NFC and SB, but they still lost the division...truth, that makes them losers! And they fell short if the goal is beat the [rival], win the division, win the SB. So Lovie is not impressed. Now it's time for all their free agents to cash in and can go be overpaid to play on other teams. Detroit will finish with a higher record and we won't have to worry about almost beating them with our 3rd string QB. You know, just an unbiased commentary...

  18. Started by defiantgiant,

So this is old news, but hey it's the offseason. After the Vikings canned Childress they hired Bill Musgrave - the Falcons' QB coach - to be their offensive coordinator. I don't know how Musgrave is as an Xs and Os guy, but his track record developing QBs is seriously impressive. If history's any indicator, the Bears might have to watch out for the Vikings' QB (whoever it is) in 2011. Check out the QBs Musgrave has worked with: 1997 (Raiders) - got Jeff George to throw for over 3,900 yards, 29 TDs, 9 picks, 91.2 QB rating. 1999-2000 (Panthers) - got Steve Beuerlein to throw for over 4,400 yards, 36 TDs, 15 picks, 94.6 QB rating in 1999. Beuerlein made the Pr…
