I would assume not. I would like to see Forte come in for a couple of plays just to get 1000 yards but I don't see any reason to play either of them other than that. Peace

Dolphins | Will interview Dave Toub for coaching job Mon, 02 Jan 2012 12:01:41 -0800 The Miami Dolphins will interview Chicago Bears special teams coordinator Dave Toub for their vacant head coaching position. I sure hope he doesn't go as it would be a great loss to the special teams.

McNabb thought Bears would sign him Jan 20 1/20/2012 2:29:42 PM | More Donovan McNabb admitted Friday that he was expecting a call from the Chicago Bears after Jay Cutler went down with a fractured thumb on Nov. 20, but that call never came and the Bears lost five of their last six to miss the playoffs according to ESPNChicago. The Bears did put in a claim on Kyle Orton after he was released by the Denver Broncos, but the Kansas City Chiefs claimed Orton before he was available to the Bears. Meanwhile McNabb, a Chicago native who was released by the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 1, watched Caleb Hanie lose four consecutive games for the Bears, who then tur…

I was reading Soxtalk's NFL thread and apparently Peter King is reporting that Mario Manningham is going to ask for $7m+ annually. So yeah, cross him off of the Bears list. Right?

This frees up about $2M in cap space. This puts the Bears close to $30M under the cap (based upon Biggs analysis).

Round 1. WR-Micheal Floyd: Displayed himself as the best all around WR at the combine. Enough said Round 2. CB-Stephen Gilmore: Great size, speed, and stength Round 3a. TE- Mike Egnew: all the skills we need Round 3b: OG/OT - Kenechi Osemele: 6'6 330lbs. May be long gone. But is very raw and athletic Round 4: LB - Tank Carder: hope he lasts this long Round 5: OG/DT Round 6: OG/DT

Would you guys be opposed to drafting 2 wideouts in the first 2 rounds? If some team outbids the Bears on Jackson, Johnson stays in Buffalo, Wayne goes wherever Peyton goes, Colston stays, and Bowe gets tagged, wouldn't this make sense? Also, keep in mind that it seems like the organization likes Webb and Williams at LT. I don't love this idea, because I think making the D younger is more important, but Floyd and Hill/Sanu wouldn't be too bad.

He's probably not a starting OG anymore, but he might just be a nice back-up on this team, especially if they move Williams to LT and sign Grubbs. They won't really have much OG depth then.

http://network.yardbarker.com/nfl/article_...rested/10284538 Indianapolis' spring cleaning - er, make that wholesale renovation - has already removed a few high-profile names from the roster, and they're looking to move another in defensive end Dwight Freeney. And according to Len Pasquarelli, the Bears are very interested. A trade for the Colts' all-time leader in sacks might cost quite a bit in both trade pieces and finances, and the 32-year-old is hitting the decline of his career - Freeney would cost $19 million against Indianapolis' cap, and even if traded carries a $14 million base salary, an amount that would put a huge dent in the Bears' available cap…
