It seems there are a few others besides me who felt he played well. Admittedly there wasn't a lot of competition coming out of last years draft but nonetheless there were far lower expectations of Conte in just his second year at FS and first year in the NFL. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=8589

So, I was wondering. You think GB lost so they could get a better position in the draft? Sorry...feeling giddy.

For some reason this popped into my brain today and I was surprised there wasn't more mentioned about this during the playoffs. Special teams only seemed to play negative roles in games (SF and BAL) compared to highlights of epic runbacks. For the season, just from watching the games, you knew there would be an impact to most teams with good return games. Almost every other kickoff ended up as a touchback and the Bears would start around the 20 compared to the 30 or 35. So I was curious and looked at some various numbers. None of these are completely conclusive or tied directly to the new rule, but taken into context you can see that the new rule did indeed affe…

After seeing this, I wouldn't care if the Bears made an incredibly lopsided trade that lost picks to get Terrell Suggs. He is now my favorite non-Bear in the NFL.

"We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together," the couple told People. "It's an amazing time in our life and we can't wait to meet the new addition to our growing family." It has the Bears taking WR Michael Floyd. That'd be good with me. Interestingly, it also has Mohamed Sanu going before Alshon Jeffrey.

https://twitter.com/#!/Kiplewistv/statu...543222890475521 I suspect Licht will be the next guy eliminated from the list. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ross and Emery in for secondary interviews this week. Though I think Emery is going to be the guy. per walterfootball.com Don't how credible Charlie Campbell is, but this makes for great talk regardless. If they traded way up for Blackmon and signed Finley, that would be a GREAT offseason. However, I'd rather see them hold onto the picks it'd take to get Blackmon and use those to get younger on D and better on O. Trading 2 first rounds + a 2nd is a bit much for an unknown commodity. Blackmon would be an offensive improvement obviously, but that's just 1 guy and leaves a lot to be desired on the OL.

It appears nobody wants TO. Nobody attended his workout (where he looked like a beast despite recovering from a huge injury in very minimal time). He is still, even at his age and even with recent injuries, probably better than any WR on the roster. What is the downside to signing him to a low-base, incentive-filled contract? Seems like a win-win to me. The guy wants to play, is still in incredible shape, could potentially teach the Bears' WRs a thing or two about numerous things (working out, running routes, etc.), and would be playing as an audition to continue his career in the NFL. If he starts shit, cut him. If he doesn't produce (measured up against oth…

Kellen Davis shows it all in this one. Route running, hands, agility, strength, elusiveness, speed. All he needs is more opportunities to catch the ball and show what he can do. In this highlight reel, he displays his talents even more. Pay careful attention to nasty one-hander at about 2:51. The Bears don't need another TE. They need to work with what they have and develop the obvious talent.

McNabb thought Bears would sign him Jan 20 1/20/2012 2:29:42 PM | More Donovan McNabb admitted Friday that he was expecting a call from the Chicago Bears after Jay Cutler went down with a fractured thumb on Nov. 20, but that call never came and the Bears lost five of their last six to miss the playoffs according to ESPNChicago. The Bears did put in a claim on Kyle Orton after he was released by the Denver Broncos, but the Kansas City Chiefs claimed Orton before he was available to the Bears. Meanwhile McNabb, a Chicago native who was released by the Minnesota Vikings on Dec. 1, watched Caleb Hanie lose four consecutive games for the Bears, who then tur…
