Just rattling this off. Robinson is likely too expensive. Wims and Miller are idiots. Mooney is typecast as a #2 but is a prototypical slot. Ridley somehow has not developed. So, in theory, we need to come up with a 1 and 2 WR. How does this get accomplished?

This is an awesome video and breakdown, I love the title. I have no doubt that this guy will be able to anchor the left side of the line.

  4. I was reading where KC doesnt think Glenn Dorsey fits in his new 3-4 sceme at NT. They traded there #2 for Cassel, so would you make the trade for Dorcey with our #1? I know that isnt an area of need, but Dorcey is rated to be a all-pro type and with the questions around Harris would they consider it? With no second would the Chiefs do that? Or maybe even offer them a 2? and would that be done.

CNNSI gives the Bears a C. Fox Sports says C-. And Fox News (how is it different?) gives a C+ TBO Sports calls stays in the same shot group with a C. Bleacher Report gave an uncharacteristic A. CBS Sports is the only one that seems to dislike the Jeffery pick, and gives a C. Miami Herald has questions about all the picks, C+ AOL gives an A-, and thinks the additions push the vets. FF Toolbox gave the Bears a D, and have some sort of scoring system I didn't even try to understand Rotoworld gives the Bears a B+, and calls McClellin a "Joker" Looks like the draft, if multiple opinions are to be considered, is pretty much a C.

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...inois-de-walker The Chicago Bears signed former Illinois defensive end Derek Walker and waived tackle Tyler Henderson on Tuesday. The 6-foot-4, 270-pound Walker played four games with the Chicago Rush last season, recording two sacks and an interception. Undrafted out of Illinois in 2009, Walker entered the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks. Hendrickson was an undrafted rookie out of Concordia (Minn.).

Looking ahead to this week's matchup against Arizona I think we have a shot to win. It's always hard to say what you have on a team (theirs or ours) after week 1 but I think we matchup better here for one simple reason: Carson Palmer is more Jay Cutler than he is Aaron Rodgers. Despite all the media hype and love of Palmer I've seen him have equally bad games as Cutler, often worse. He can make equally nice throws into coverage too so you just don't know what you'll get. He is a stationary target and that will help our pass rushers quite a bit, especially if we can get some pressure up the middle. Larry Fitzgerald: He's not as quick or as fast as he used to b…

http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune....ic-benson-.html 10/22/2009 Lance Briggs: No-huddle, Pisa's injury, Ochocinco, Cedric Benson Atlanta week was exciting, especially when you’re playing against a team of that caliber. You want to come in and make a statement about who you are as a team. Once a team starts to go no-huddle, you have a different type of procedure where we have wristbands on and we’re looking to get the calls out much faster. It’s just being more efficient. In order to be more efficient, we might do numbers or have the whole team look to the sideline to get the call instead of having to echo it all around … just a way of combating it.…

Interesting to note that the Bears have 9 losses, with 7 coming against playoff teams, and 6 with teams projected to have 10 or more wins. We did not lose to a single non-playoff team in regulation (losing to DET and SF in OT). 6 of our losses were within one score or less (8 pts). Of our 6 wins, only one was by more than 5 pts (scary). So just as easily as we could've been 12-3, we could've been 1-14. It is nice to know our schedule will be heavily in our favor next season: Schedule

The big question of the day, in the media, is what do the Bears play for this Sunday? Do we play as if the Rams will lose and we have home field to gain? Do we play to rest nicked up players and hope to win? Rest starters knowing we'll meet again the following week? Or do we play like we want to make a statement and send the Vikings on vacation. Also to note was our preseason, where Nagy was huge on resting players for the upcoming season. The result was one of the least injured teams in the NFL. What is our collective thought on this? I'll start by saying, that we should do all that out takes to eliminate the Vikings now. I have a 4 fold reason why. 1) …

He's learning, and quickly, as Malcolm Butler found out. It's impossible to quantify but I believe this week will prove very beneficial to the Bears on offense and defense this season. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/kevin-w...-physical-ways/ --------------------------------------- FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — Bears receiver Kevin White lost. And everyone saw it. Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler, a Pro Bowl player last season, cut off White’s route by being physical at the line of scrimmage and then jumping his break inside. Because it came during one-on-one drills, quarterback Jay Cutler threw the ball away, an early incompletion that garnered cheers …

http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...story?track=rss Chicago Bears GM Phil Emery said today that finding some fresh bodies along the offensive line, whether it be in free agency or the draft, is one of his priorities this offseason. “I like the look of our offensive line with the guys with have signed up right now,” he said. Asked about adding a lineman, Emery said the Bears always are searching for depth. He said they could look at other free-agent linemen, and the team will look “very hard” at offensive linemen in the draft.

The usual blah blah from him ,he praised Hester said that they didn't play defense like they would have like(no sh--) and that they need to clean things up. When the reporters started asking him some pointed questions about acquiring players like Steve Smith he made a couple of comments and then the press conference ended shortly after that.
