1. Great game for Cutler. He improvised when he was rushed and made big play after big play. If Williams and Hester catch those passes, Cutler likely ends the game with 300 yards. 2. Bennett truly is a missing link. When he's out there, the offense is good. 3. Forte will be fine. Last night was the exception, not the rule. I expect him to have a huge game against Detroit. 4. The OL keeps playing better. They had their bad moments, but giving up no sacks in Philadelphia primetime is impressive. I'd sit Carimi until Louis really struggles or gets hurt. 5. Melton didn't have any sacks, but I counted 3 or 4 TFL for him. He really answered the bell. 6.…

He had a huge game and it is clear he is Cutler's favorite target. He just needs to stay healthy. Peace

The NFL has changed in recent years since the "gotta make a football move" rule after a catch. I'm not sure if that verbage of the rule still exists, but I nevertheless haven't been a fan of whatever form of this rule we've had in recent years. I've never liked the rule because I see it time and again taking away legit forced fumbles because the player only took a step and a half after the catch or some nonesense...whatever, apparently not enough to clearly show maintained possesion in today's NFL. I have, however, understood that the rule was at least intended to eliminate cheap fumbles that come only an instant after the receiver controls the ball, so implemented …

1. The Cardinals suck. 2. The Cardinals know they suck. 3. The Cardinals have one chip to bargain with: Larry Fitzgerald 4. The Cardinals need to rebuild more than one position 5. The Bears need a WR 6. Fitzgerald is one of the best WRs in the NFL 7. Fitzgerald fits almost exactly what the Bears lack 8. Fitzgerald is unequivocally better than the chances and risks taken with a first round pick So why not offer the Cardinals next year's first round pick for Larry Fitzgerald? Why wouldn't that work? Why would they not take the offer, or at least make a cheap counter-offer? Maybe a 1st and a 5th gets the deal done. If so, I say this happens in …

Damn, that is exactly the type of offense the Bears should be running. Mixed in with good defense and special teams, it a recipe for success.

http://espn.go.com/nfl/standings/_/type/pl...ank/order/false Must win this coming week. Right now we are ahead of the Eagles by one game and tied with the same record with Falcons and Bucs but hold the tie breaker. This years wild card race is going to be intense.

A source inside of Halas Hall as confirmed that the Chicago Bears and Matt Forte have reopened negotiations on a new contract. It was the Bears that approached the Forte camp and wants to get something worked out before next Monday night’s game against the Eagles. Details of the offer aren’t available, but it is supposed to be a significant move towards Forte’s demands. The Bears have indicated that Forte may be franchise tagged if nothing can be resolved, but both sides want to avoid this measure.

http://bostonherald.com/sports/football/pa...&position=2 Partly posted as we are heading into a bye week, seems as though the news is stagnant and curious to see what others think. Could/would he be a worthwhile look? There is the possibility that his injury history and/or price could be a hurdle...but one has to ask.

As it stands today if the season stopped and we headed to the playoffs it would look like this 1. Packers (NFC North) 2.49ers (NFC West) 3. Giants (NFC East) 4. Saints (NFC South) with the #5.Lions and the #6.Bears as the two wildcard teams. Packer and 49ers will have the bye so the Bears play the Giants and the Lions play the Saints in the first round
