- Bears hated Nick Perry's personality but loved his game. Supposedly, he's a bit of a douche and seemed careless in all of the interviews. - They had Mercilus #3 behind McClellin and....wait until my last point... - They didn't like Kendall Wright really. - They had offers to move up or down, but loved McClellin. - He is going to start day 1 most likely at LDE. - If Bruce Irvin would've fell to 19, he would've likely been the pick. (FML)

Trade out of the 1st for a 2nd, 4th, and 5th. Sign Jordan Gross. 2. Paul Kruger, DE, Utah ---The guy is a machine and has been compared to Aaron Kampman. 2. Louis Delmas, FS, Western Michigan ---Big hitter, leader, and ball-hawk. Can you ask for much more from a FS? 3. Brian Robiskie, WR, Ohio State ---I'm really starting to like this kid. He is 6'2 200 but he has great hands and is a great route runner. Perfect compliment to Hester. 3. Trevor Canfield, RG, Cincinnati ---He is a great run blocker and that's what we need. 4. Zack Follet, OLB, California ---Leader and is pretty athletic. 4. Gartrell Johnson, RB, Colorado State ---After watching …

Jay Cutler s Ranking through 5 games PCT- 5th Yards- 9th TD's- 5th INt- 7th (improvement needed here) QB rating- 11th On pace for 4,377.60 yards 32 Td's 19 INT All of this with a new line, new scheme and new coaching staff. Cutler and O are only going to get better as the season goes on. He does have more weapons this year. The 3 biggest area's of concern 1. Reading the D, Jay is not picking up Blitzes. NO showed blitz a couple of times in the first half and he never picked up on it. 2. The "Bad Jay" throws. When you watch a guy like Drew Breese you rarely see him make the WTF was he doing throw. There was one pass against N…

First, I want to let everyone know it was nothing anyone said directly that caused me to step away for awhile especially not Mad. I enjoy the arguments we have on the board. Someone mentioned it wasn't the negativity but the overreaction we see here and I think they were right. I simply needed to step away for a while to clear my perspective. It's good to be back and I apologize if I offended anyone. I have been a member of this board and the previous board for almost 15 years and I'm not going anywhere. Peace

Even though this guy beat us in the SB I still love him: "I'd like to get it over with," he says. "I really would. I'd kinda just like [Chicago Bears linebacker Brian] Urlacher or somebody to get a good clean shot and just lay me out. Kind of shake the cobwebs out. So I can get up and go, 'Yeah, OK. I'm ready now.' And at least Urlacher wouldn't use me like a footstool to get up, either." -Peyton Manning whole article here: http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/8229222...n-manning-talks

Roster construction is all about bang for your buck. How can you squeeze the most out of the least while staying under the cap. At the end of the day, production has to match the pay in order to field a winning team. Based on 2020 cap hit and AV, here were the top 10 most productive players per dollar last year: David Montgomery Tashaun Gipson Bilal Nichols Darnell Mooney Jaylon Johnson Cairo Santos Brent Urban Barkevious Mingo Anthony Miller Roquan Smith The worst values were Skrine and Demetrius Harris, but interestingly enough the next 3 players that had cap hit over $1M and an AV below 10 were: Foles Fuller Graham The bi…

Just pointing out that there's one more bad WR who's hit the market the Bears might be interested in after some team over-pays for Bernard Berrian. According to PFT, Washington paid 10 million AND gave up a 3rd & 4th round draft pick for Lloyd's services. As PFT wrote, "For that investment, the Redskins got 23 catches for 365 yards in 2006 and two catches for 14 yards in 2007. He never caught a touchdown pass as a Redskin." He was in that massive free agent group Redskins fans were so proud of that included Antwaan Randle-El and Adam Archuletta. Gentlemen, that is exactly why you shouldn't get pissed when the Bears don't go broke trying to get a guy.

I don't think I'd mind this change at all. I didn't like Ducasse when we signed him and he hasn't played well enough to date to change my mind. Scout.com is reporting he's on the hot seat with possibly Omameh getting a look soon. http://www.scout.com/nfl/bears/

What are your thoughts on Kearse. I have looked at him on You Tube and feel he is an athletic with good size who seemed to play better in 2014 than 2015 but may have been holding something back because he wanted to enter the NFL without an injury. His uncle is Javon Kearse and his cousin is Philip Buchanon so the pedigree is there. My only concern is although he gets into a good position he doesn't finish plays i.e. if the running back gets to the line of scrimmage and he is in the box he doesn't drive into the back to make a big play, he looks like he is holding back wanting to make sure the back doesn't break a big one but I suppose being a safety is you have to m…

Using only the mock drafts that were updated in the last month from the Walter Football Mock Draft Database (94 mocks), here is the summary of picks: 1. J. Allen, 37.2% (seems like most realistic pick) 2. M. Trubisky, 20.2% (which QB will we pick if all 3 are available?) 3. D. Kizer, 19.2% 4. D. Watson, 10.6% 5. J. Adams 6.4% (only logical Safety pick at #3 now) 6. M. Hooker, 3.2% (with recent surgeries, probably no longer in play) 7. M. Garrett, 1.1% (doubt he gets to us) 8. S. Thomas, 1.1% (no value at #3) 9. C. Davis, 1.1% (I highly doubt we go WR at #3) 1. QB, 50% 2. DL, 39.4% 3. DB, 9.6% 4. WR, 1.0% 92.6% of mocks have Garrett goi…

Here is a request from Uncle Meatball of BearFansUnited.org in regards the game against the ViQueens via this link to the website: http://bit.ly/5Z9JHv Basically what he is asking that all fans attending the game to wait until after the initial kick-off to the game before taking your seats. If I was in town and attending the game, I would be very interested in hanging out with my fellow fans to help make a statement to the McCaskey family and the upper management of this team. It does not cost anyone anything and does not truly make you miss the game, just the opening kick-off. I hope all that go will wait until after the kick before heading to their se…

This is OTA news and everyone in the NFL is happy (and doing great) at this time of year. So I'm always cautious with what's being said. In fact I put more value in watching the press conferences because you can see how the words are said. Facial expressions, pauses to think about what to say, all make a difference. At least for the moment it does look like Trubisky has taken a step forward with this offense. Will that lead to a more relaxed player who is more focused on his throwing mechanics? https://chicago.suntimes.com/bears/2019/5/29/18644961/mitch-trubisky-growing-up-fast-in-nagys-offense

With Dahl leaving Atlanta for St. Louis, this leaves this group left for FA OL: Sean Locklear, OT, Seattle Matt Light, OT, New England Jared Gaither, OT, Baltimore Ryan Harris, OT, Denver Brian Waters, OG, Kansas City Kyle DeVan, OG, Indianapolis Derrick Dockery, OG, Washington Dockery is interesting. He was very good in 2009 but he didn't fit in Shanahan's ZBS. Gaither was good up until his back injury, and we all know those don't go away completely. Harris isn't a fit, because he's a ZBS OT. Waters might work, depending on the window the FO thinks the Bears have. If he thinks it's a 1-2 year window, Waters would be a nice sign. …
