Dude had to get fired to REALIZE OL is important. Jamies Winston followed by OT and OG. And that's on top of the OT AND OG he drafted last year. Seriously, that guy can kiss my ass square on the butthole.

  14. Per Chicagosports.com Extra points: Bears quarterbacks coach Pep Hamilton was part of a large contingent of pro coaches and scouts in San Diego this past Friday watching Josh Johnson, the University of San Diego quarterback. Johnson (6-3, 200) who struggled with his throws at the NFL Scouting Combine due to a back injury, was on point throwing on his home turf. Johnson first created as buzz by running the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds at combine, tops among quarterbacks. … Expect the Bears to be at Vanderbilt University March 21 to watch Commodore offensive tackle Chris Williams perform. He might be worthy of the Bears’ No. 14 overall pick.

Jerry was just on the ESPN1000 show and gave a pretty cool interview. He said when he was on the phone w/ Denver that he knew he had to come in big otherwise they would just blow him off and listen to the next offer. He didn't say what the offer intially was, but it was big enough were they didn't field any other calls (GM to GM). They countered back and forth a couple of times before reaching the deal, he said it took about a half hour. He said that Denver had already done there homework on Kyle Orton and liked what they saw in him, so I think Orton was intitially in the deal to start. My guess is maybe we offered 1, 1, and Orton and then Denver countered to 1, 1, 3…

The Bears have a lot of holes left to fill, and they won't be able to fill them all through the draft. The Bears will probably sign a couple more free agents before the draft. Here are the positions we still need a player in, not in order of necessity: DE, OLB, ILB, S, CB OC/OG, OT, WR The first draft pick is going to solidify one of those positions. It will either go to the offensive line, or to the defense. If it goes offense, it will be Quentin Nelson OG from ND. He would be a force, and a really good step toward building an OL that is probably the weakest unit on the team now. The other biggest weakness is LB. Unless you're ready to …
