Tommie has a huge bonus due (6.67 million) at the beginning of the NFL yr (I think that is March 1st). Going to be interesting to see what they do. This is the most optimistic view I have seen out of the national media. Now I remain realistic and slightly pessimistic (especially with the schedule). My projection is more in the 7-9 win range, but 10 would have us on the cusp of the playoffs. So what do you think? Ok, so I know this goes without saying and most teams and their fans can complain about the officials, but there is no denying the Bears are on the short end of these calls more times than not. Check out some of these calls/no-calls that have cost the Bears points.

Based on cap estimates, which I have no idea who's right. I have read they have at most is 15mil. Now they of course will redo some contracts etc. But what QB's that are free agents are still worth signing to even be a backup. And I just don't see trading for almost any of the ones available. Dalton. Foles, Newton, and maybe Carr. I just don't see any way they can improve their QB play and will be lucky to get a backup better than Daniels was. I can't believe they would sign Newton or Brady. What say you?

-- CAUTION LONG THREAD -- I took a look at the Bears cap situation for the next few years. I keep seeing things about the Bears being in cap hell next year, and that really is not the case. The Bears don't have to pay Trubisky big bucks until his 6th year in the league, so it looks like we can keep virtually the same roster for the next 3 years without too much trouble or turnover. The media paints it like we are in dire straits after this season. With a few key guys resigned each year, we should only expect to lose 2-3 starters per year in this next 3-year window. Similar to how we lost Howard and Amos this year and replaced with Montgomery and HHCD. With that…
