I'm really glad I was able to go to this game. Beforehand we stopped at a restaurant near the stadium (there is a mall in the complex) and from our table I could see about 4 Cards fans and the rest where Bears fans. That carried into the game and almost the entire visitors side of the field where Bears fans, and I was down low at the 50yd line, row 24. Looking across the field it was clear there were quite a few Bears jerseys on the Cards side too. I don't know what was shown on TV but often the Bears players were looking right at us asking for more noise, especially late in the game. And we were LOUD. It's impossible to know but I'm confident as the 12th man on t…

I am very uneasy with Pace saying that Trubisky is the quarterback going into next year. I understand firing the O-line coach and the "OC". I am looking at the quarterback position. I am making the following argument as a potential win/win/win aka cover our ass scenario Trubisky-we can blame the play calling, o-line, running game, blah blah blah. Truth is this result is not entertaining. And this teams sole purpose is to distract us from reality and entertain us. 17/10 (TD/INT) 63% completion. 3138 yards. Sacked 38 times. 40.6 QBR I never liked Cutler because he just didn't look like he cared. Trubisky I think my be a little too soft. Pace isn'…

  4. My latest goofy video, proving that I saw this record and this game being what it is 4 weeks ago. Detroit has a rougher ride at the 2nd half of their season too. So it looks good for us my friends! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y5sX6n5htyo

He does a very good job breaking down McPhee's game. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYzfVBuCfGz-oF3aOCGgO5g To reference Jason's post about concerns with Floyd keep in mind what you see McPhee cannot do (as compared to Von Miller in video) and what we know Floyd can do as he gets upfield quickly. Where Floyd will really need added strength is holding himself upright as he bends around the edge. I think that's the component of his game he'll have to work on the most.

The best I can tell the new players will cost 13 million this year. We got rid of Olsen, Malaumaa, with Taylor and Harrison to follow. That will add 6. 75 million back in the pool. We pay Kreutz 4.5 and figure the new contract of Forte will cost around 5 to 7 this year. The rookies will cost around 7 mill. So the best I can figure we still have 10 to 12 mill spend this year. I think we can get Kelvin Hayden/cb, Dockery/OG, Jamal Brown/OT and Matt Roth/olb with the remainder of the cap. I suspect that if we do sign a couple more OL that we could cut Williams and maybe a guard Louis and save another 1.6 mil.

I was listening to ESPN Radio this morning and they were talking to McNutt about the whole draft process and how it felt to fall to the 24th pick in the 6th round when he was expected to go no later than the 4th round. Out of the entire piece, the only thing of interest was that he got a call from the Bears before their pick in the 6th round and they asked him why he thought he had fallen that far. I guess they did not like his answer since they picked Frey and he went 10 picks later to Philly. It was just interesting to hear about some other names the Bears contacted and didn't draft.

Snap to it: Whereas fumbled snaps seemed to be a regular occurrence during the Rex Grossman Era, there has yet to be a bad exchange between Cutler and Kreutz. "There's always going to be some of those, no matter how long you've played," Kreutz said. "But Jay does everything well -- and that includes taking a snap."

Last night on twitter greg cossell talked about 2 WRs that he likes according to what he sees on tape. Both have mid to late rd selection type grades currently Aaron Mellette, Elon - greg likes him for his size, great hands plus athleticism at 6'2" 217 lbs. Also has deceptive movement for a big. Check out his stats and they blow u away. I would love to look at this guy in the 4th Conner Vernon- Duke-- very good route runner w/ understanding of how to use vertical stem to breakdown cushion and separate. 1 concern is that he's a bit of a 1 speed receiver w/o much burst. But very good hands and great feel for subletives of route running. He's 6'0 196 lbs and …

We really need to give a hand to this entire (first rd) QB class because now Trubisky, Watson, and Mahomes are all Pro Bowl QBs. FWIW Jim McMahon was our last Pro Bowl QB. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001012442/article/mitchell-trubisky-deshaun-watson-added-to-pro-bowl

What do you think? I like the passion, and if Nagy fails to improve the offense, Mike can slide into the HC position easily.

You know, if this guy ever gets his head on straight, he could be amazing. (side note: I feel the same way about Bradley, but replace "head on straight" with "body to stay healthy")
