This is total speculation on my part, and i just read this while looking at fantasy football on yahoo. I'm not sure what other TE's are on the trading block or in FA, that would warrant restructuring Bree's contract. Is it possible they are close to a trade for Bennett? We know Pace's Ties to the Saints.

Not surprising at all. He had his hand on the ground a lot more today while the Bears were in nickel and he still didn't make any plays. If we can get a 6th for him, I say let's move on.

He is so important to this team. He has to be one of the most undervalued RB in the league. Currently he is leading the league in rushing. If he keeps this up over the course of the year showing no signs of slowing down the Bears better think about resigning him. I get that RB's after 30 slow down and hope Forte's contract demands are not too high. Maybe he would give the Bears a home town discount.

Was reading a presser today that upon Ratliff's release from Chicago, that precipitated the team to call Dallas on a precautionary nature. Given the volatility of the release, Ratliff's history with Dallas and apparently still maintaining a residence near Dallas' training facility... made sense. Have to hand it to Pace, Fox and some degree McCaskey with their dealing with not only Ratliff but with McDonald earlier this season. I think the 49ers put too much on Hayne's plate with this being his first year playing football. He's an excellent athlete but they had him doing returns and also getting snaps at RB. Just keep him focused on returns and give him another offseason to settle into the NFL environment, playbook, etc. before asking him to play RB.

When I left training camp this summer I was preaching gloom and doom! The team started to win some unexpected games and I got false hope because what I forgot to remember was that depth after starters was going to be a problem. Jeremey Langford also made me forget because he looks like the future at RB. The problem is that when we as fans need to have the Bears website open to the roster to figure out who is on the field at the beginning of games points back to my original thoughts back in the summer. I am waiting for the finger pointing to start after that loss, especially after 3x 4th Quarter INTs by Fitzpatrick. The Jets did just enough to lose. Kind of weird that Marshall's first year with the Bears, the team goes 10-6 and misses the playoffs, and now the Jets do the same thing. That was the Bears best record with Marshall. This is only the 2nd winning season for Marshall (both 10-6 teams).
