It seems like the Bears have been in the lead all season, but only have a 2-2 record to show for it. I was wondering in the four games they have played this season, how many minutes have they been in the lead and how many have they been trailing? The Answer The Bears have led for 170:37 of 250:39 minutes this season, or 68.1 percent of the time. The score has been tied during 46:21 (18.5 percent) and Chicago has trailed for only 33:41 (13.4 percent). The Bears did not trail in Sunday night’s win over the Eagles and trailed in their other win this season for just :53 at Indianapolis. The Bears have led for 56:01 of 60 minutes in the fourth quarter this season.

  3. Draft dish: Locking the Bears into a receiver in the 2nd round Interesting perspective on WRs that might be available in round 2:

I think this is an interesting site because we all have different opinions. How boring would that be if we all agreed on everthing. As far as I go, I will jump in alot with just ramblings, sometimes just to batter, but have a lot of admiration for Lemonej for his will thought out responses. Others that put alot of thought into blogs are Mad L., and I hate to say it Jason, dont always agree with him, but he does hmework. In saying that , Others have insight and am glad this site is available. I usually jump in at the end of the season because of the I am a big draftnik, during the season I play a lot of FF leagues and dont have that much computer time to spend. I am a long…

PFT has reported the real cap space numbers are out. It has us at 22.6, and that is after Forte has been franchised. Rookie pool-------------------------4 to 5 mil Our own FAs------------------------6 to 8 mil So how much does that leave us for our big signing everybody wants? I suspect we get one big contract to work and a few fringe players.

I just have a feeling that this is going to be brought up at some point. They will point to the injuries on the O-Line to Slauson, Mills, DLP, and Britton, and on the D to Peanut, Briggs, Houston, Conte, Ratliff, Fuller and say that those were the reason this team struggled all year with consistency. I hope not, but I see it coming.

I'm not a big PFF guy, but these are interesting to note: Kevin White, WR, West Virginia Brandon Marshall is gone but fear not Bears fans because Kevin White is in town. A beast of a receiver, his physicality and ability to win downfield scared many a college defensive back and promise to do the same in the NFL. Only Amari Cooper forced more missed tackles, and only Devin Smith had more deep touchdowns (7) than the talented wideout. A truly explosive player, the tandem of him and Alshon Jeffery is one that rightly has the Bears fans in attendance sitting very pretty. This fit makes all kinds of sense. McCray is horrible in coverage and while I don't think Vereen is going to be any better to start with, I'd rather live with the rookie mistakes and see if he can learn. Fixing the safety position is going to be a big part of our offseason and I think we should give Vereen enough game experience to know where he fits in those plans. I don't see McCray being in our plans for next season.

With McPhee, Royal, and Rolle pending contracts. I would still like to see a few more guys brought in from this pool of defensive candidates (for the right price): Safety: #28 Rahim Moore - S (25) #88 Ron Parker - S (27) Cornerback: #27 Chris Culliver - CB (27) #46 Perrish Cox - CB (28) Linebacker: #49 Curtis Lofton - ILB (28) #59 Mason Foster - ILB (26) Defensive/Nose Tackle: #16 Terrance Knighton - DL (29) #29 Dan Williams - DL (28) # - NFL FA Ranking If we could bring in a couple of more guys from these groups (wishful thinking), I think we would be in great position going into the draft. I was hoping for 4x new starters …

Reportedly needs surgery on his hamstring. Given our lack of depth at the CB position, this is a big blow. On the bright side, Frey apparently has been having a great training camp. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,0,324278.story

The Bears HAVE to trade down, here's to hoping San Fran wants Vaccaro S or Allen WR. Bears get 1-31,3-74, and 4-128. 1-31 Alec Ogletree LB - Has the skills to cover a lot of field in the middle like #54. Needs some fine tuning but was always a top LB. 2-50 Arthur Brown LB - Why not rejuvinate the history of LB, Eventually takes Briggs spot. I'd trade back up w/ a 4th if have to. 3-74 Ryan Swope WR - Dangerous slot WR is what the Bears need between the beasts, he has speed to stretch also 4-117 Brian Schwenke C Cal - Quick, athletic and fits a zone blocking scheme. 4-131 David Bakhtiari G/T Col - undersized for T, but can play G and …
