So, I'm feeling a little ornery right now watching SF dominate the Queens. Reminiscing the trade that brought us Trubisky and losing the 67 and 111 picks, as well as a 2018 third rounder. I haven't looked at who SF drafted with those three picks, but I do know they drafted George Kittle in the 5th round the same draft that we drafted Adam Shaheen in the 2nd. Bet we could've drafted a really good OL with that pick. The consolation kick in the nuts is that if we don't do the trade with SF, we may have gotten stuck with Mahomes. ? Back to my Sailor Jerry

IMHO is the Bears are to win this game two things must happen. One is the the defense MUST rush and get pressure up the middle of the Oline. They will have three new starters in including the new center. This will force Manning to roll out of the pocket into the arms of O-gun,Brown and the fleet foot Anderson. Given that I know virtually nothing about the current crop of draft prospects...here's what I'd like to see happen, all else being equal. RD1-2 - D line and O line - either or, BPA RD 3 - WR - someone with serious potential. Big target. If the WR is in the 1st or 2nd, then OL/DL here RD 4- DB - We need depth RD 5 - LB - more depth RDs6 -7 - I really don't care...just BPA or whatever whim Emery has. A few weeks back, the SCORES Boers & Bernstein show said that the Bears were having trouble getting a 5th round pick for Olsen. While I didn't believe this, I did believe his value wasn't what we thought it was. Today Denver received a 5th round pick for Tony Scheffler AND a 7th. I'd thought we might see a draft day deal in which the Bears moved up to the 2nd round. That ain't going to happen with trading away next year's picks.

It's early, but with the recent additions, I wanted to get opinions on where you think our roster shakes out. Some positions seem pretty clear, others not so much. I have to say in looking at the initial 53-man roster last year, I couldn't believe some of the names. Greg Scruggs? Amini Silotolu? Were they really on the team? QB: Glennon, Sanchez, Trubisky Trubisky probably doesn't dress for the first few games at least. Bears will probably try to keep Shaw on the practice squad.
