When praising or criticizing Pace we need to look at his plan. In the first two years, he took position players and did not draft a QB. He tried to trade up for Mariota and last year to go up and get Wentz. I would have to say both of those should turn out to be good QBs. So I think he can identify a QB when he sees one. In the three year of a rebuild , he need to get a QB to push forward with the progress, so he addressed with an urgency. I have had several requests to lock the Webb thread so that it will roll off the page and we can get onto more important issues, things like the 2013 Bears and trying to make the playoffs. If anyone has major objections I can open it back up. Hopefully we can bury this and move on.

I was not surprised to see Denver beat Baltimore soundly; Baltimore was lucky to win the SB IMO, they were high on the Ray Lewis retirement and won on adrenaline and luck....they are a good team but not SB material, certainly are in for a fall down this year. It was interesting to see the old Bear Corey Graham starting for them; I wish we could have kept him as I thought he was an excellent player for us and somehow was in Lovie's doghouse. It was a fairly entertaining game until the ticky tack call that basically ended the game. It probably was the right call, but tough given the situation (not called earlier). However, the Eagles did that to themselves, their vaunted defense was terrible. Hurts fumbles against no contact and it ends up as a defensive TD.
