http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,5974410.column Article talks about how effective Cutler has been throughout his career outside the pocket. Talks about how little we have used Cutler on rollouts, bootlegs and such. Turner says it was part of the original plan, but they just got away from the plan. Anyway, as so many here have screamed to use Cutler in such a way, this article is right up that alley.

I think we can all agree our OL has sucked this year and has been a key problem for our offense. Many have screamed to build the OL for years, and w/ the OL so bad this year and everyone talking about it, it seemed like our wishes would finally be granted in this offseason. Now I have to wonder. In the last game against Minny, we saw a huge difference from the first game. Williams replaced Pace at LT, and did a pretty damn good job. I know he got a lot of help, but he also blocked Allen one-on-one plenty of times, and more than held his own. Omiyale was unbelievably awful early in the season prior to being benched. But in the last couple games, has h…

Both Know and Manning are not expected to play either. Bright side, Iglesias should finally be active. Also, with Izzy out, maybe Big Toe can get some reps. Peace

At the end of the game Monday night, I was on the computer when Favre threw the TD to Rice. I walked into the living room and told my wife that I expected the Bears to lose and was at least happy they put up a great game. Further, I said that was a hell of a pass by Favre. My wife said, and I will paraphrase "I don't want to hear it. I want them to lose because of him". Got to love it!!! FYI - I hate Favre as well but respect him as a player. Peace

I was considering the impact the ads and billboard might have on the McCaskey's potential decision to make changes to the team's management. Specifically, I wondered what else could be done to influence a change. As a born and bred Chicagoan and a fan of all of the city's teams I thought of changes our other teams have made and tried to make comparisons to the scenario facing the Bears. I think a good comparison could be made to the Blackhawks. Outside of the mild successes enjoyed during the tenures of Orval Tessier and Mike Keenan, this team has been mired in poor performances over the last twenty years. While Dollar Bill Wirtz was alive ,the team, to its own detri…

On the Chicago Bears website there is the article entitled "Reason to celebrate". In the pick is Cutler, R Davis, and ???? The third guy I can not see but only a part of his number. Looking at the roster and trying to figure out what number his jersey is I am at a loss. He is one huge & homely guy, LOL. Kinda guy who would star as the "horror" in a b horror flick.

Okay, I won the consolation, which means 5th place "boobie" prize. Is that like being Mr. Irrelevant? Do I get a trip to Disney. Seriously, congrats to Bradjock for the 1st place win. Personally, i think you should feel dirty winning behind the arm of a Green Bay Packer QB, not to mention his favorite WR, but to each his own:) And how funny that you rode Cedric Benson to glory. Nice 3rd place finish Pix. Honestly, not sure who DevilDogs is, but good team and great profile pic I mentioned this on the FF site, but I just have to say, this was a solid league. I love the fact that no one, regardless of record, seemed to simply quit, which really ju…

  12. Three times, after we put Farve on his arce, I watched the ref helping Farve up. I swear, I have never noticed a ref helping a player to his feet. I have seen the opposing players help a player up, which always irritated me, but I have NEVER seen the refs help a player get up, but saw it happen three times last night w/ Farve. Have I just never noticed this before, or was that truly something out of the norm?

HOME Minnesota (11-4) Philadelphia (11-4) Green Bay (10-5) New England (10-5) NY Jets (8-7) Seattle (5-10) Washington (4-11) Detroit (2-13) AWAY Minnesota (11-4) Green Bay (10-5) Dallas (10-5) NY Giants (8-7) Miami (7-8) Carolina (7-8) Buffalo (5-10) Detroit (2-13) These games are assuming the NFL uses the same pattern they have used thru 2009. 3. Jon Asamoah, OG, Illinois ---This guy is an absolute beast. I'm praying he falls here. Everytime I watch Illinois, the whole OL gets toasted except him. 4. Deunta Williams, FS, North Carolina ---Steltz looked OK but Afalava is a SS and we need a true FS. Williams is a steal this late. 5. Austen Lane, DE, Murray State ---Through November 19, this guy had 11 sacks on the year. This late, he's worth a try. We all know JA loves small school guys (Abilene Christian). 6. Dennis Landholt, OT, Penn State ---More OL depth. 7. Shawn Estes, C, Hawaii ---Kreutz is starting to wear down, and I'm afraid we've already molded Beekman to be an OG. Estes is a true C. …

  18. Started by Daventry,

I was not able to see the game last night, but from what I have read so far, the Bears resurrection is of biblical proportion. Anyone else wondering how a team that has looked flat and downright incompetent can suddenly look so good on Monday night against a strong Vikings team?

  19. Started by fudgeripple2000,

With the night that Aroshomadou had tonight and how much Cutler likes him, is it safe to say that going forward he has a good chance at being our #1 reciever? If that is the case then will our WR core going into next season be: #1=DA #2=Bennett #3=Knox #4=Hester Right away I know Hester led the team in receptions but most of those were bubble screens and quick hits designed to get him running in space. Hester is not Steve Smith. I want him to be but after watching how good Knox/Bennett/Manning did on special teams this year, which is what caused this team to try and transition him, I feel that we should move him to spot duty on WR and g…

  20. Started by fudgeripple2000,

As a die hard fan I was jumping up and down, yelling at the TV, indoor clappin with whistling (sign of white-trashiness). I felt somewhat conflicted. I always want the bears to win no matter what. But, there was & is a small percentage of me (.1%) that wanted to see our coaching staff blow the game. With a great first half and being up 17 points towards the end of the 3rd quarter and to lose would have hermetically sealed the lovie coffin. Ron Turner called a good game. But his philosophy going into it was as a coordinator that knew his job was on the line and the team had nothing more than self-respect to play for. So you can't compare his play calls today a…
