in the last two weeks we have been man handled twice won a game that felt more like a loss than a win. where do we begin putting humpty dumpty back together.... I honestly don't know where to begin. Let's face this is a wreck of a team. When Lovie took over we had a strong defense and no offense. Over his time here his staff took over a talented defense and rode that to a Super Bowl. Now that that D has declined and an offense crippled by poor offensive line play, poor play calling, poor execution. Was pondering the OL situation (probably the Achille's Heel on the Offense right now) the other day and came up with a "what if" situation. Since Pace is having a heck of a time at LT (and I know that is his "natural" position) why not switch him out with Williams? Obviously, Williams is going to eventually move back to LT, where he played in college, so why not go there now? Having Pace on the Right side would help Cutler out a bunch as when he rolls out he looks that way anyhow. And when Pace loses the leverage on the rush then Cutler can make the adjustment needed without worrying as much about the blindside rush. Which brings me to the other side. I think with Wi…

The Bears game is on TV here this week. I got a nice HD and free OTA HD broadcast, plus a basement full of homemade beer. However, The games I have watched at the bar this year the bears have won, every game I watched at home we have lost. If anybody has watched GB, I think we can sympathize with their o line woes. Rodgers has been sacked more than twice as many times as Cutler yet GBs offense is ranked 11th while we're at 21. Rodgers is enjoying another great year stats wise Why? Because the guys in GB knopw how to maximize the talent they have.They are making that offense go by playing to the strengths of their players. Adding FAs as we have, you might have a year or two in there where the OL plays well, but it will never see consistency. I would further argue against the FA route we have gone by pointing out the OL, more than most units, needs time to develop chemistry. Three years ago it was Rivera. Last year it was Big Bad Bob Babich. This year it's going to be Turner out on his ace, which he almost certainly deserves. Anyone who tries "up the gut" so many times just to prove a point deserves to be out. These games are for real, not a flippin joke. But in all sincerity it should be the whole crew, especially Lovie. I'm sorry, but there ain't no way this crew of jalopies is ever going to get anywhere close back to a Super Bowl. A couple more years of this, and Cutler can kiss any dreams he had of being a real "franchise" QB good bye, whatever "franchise" means.
