Team MVP: Lance Briggs. Makes plays all over the field, shown leadership, helping as best he can where Urlacher is missing. Biggest Surprise: Johnny Knox. Everyone knew he could fly, but nobody expected this. Biggest Disappointment: OL. Their writeup: An offensive line that was expected to be significantly upgraded with the free-agent additions of Orlando Pace, Frank Omiyale, and Kevin Shaffer could be worse than last year's unit based on its uneven performance in the first half of the season. Pace has been a bust at left tackle, Omilaye is a pure tackle who struggled at left guard before being replaced in Week Eight by Josh Beekman, and Shaffer has been a n…

On that play for our offense when Jay hadda force it and throw an INT, who in the living hell wasnt there roughing the passer called? It was at least 2 seconds after the throw, a high-low, and numbnuts Dockett put the crown of his helmet in Cutlers throat? That really pissed me off Two positives from the game, i started Cutler and Olsen in fantasy, gave me 75pts. And, at least we will have new staff at the end of the season pss. Tommie Harris. you are Dallas bound

I have to ask. If others disagree, then I apologize to the two owners, but this looks like what I have always heard called a brother-in-law trade. What do others think? Andre Johnson (Hou - WR) Steve Slaton (Hou - RB) Beanie Wells (Ari - RB) Bernard Berrian (Min - WR) for Steve BreastonP (Ari - WR) Reggie Bush (NO - RB) Brian WestbrookQ (Phi - RB) Mario ManninghamP (NYG - WR)

it's time to clean house starting at the top and working your way down to the parking attendants. 1. the entire coaching staff is DONE. i have had my fill after watching this unbelievable performance today. it is so inept i can hardly find words to express just how bad it is. no matter how good or bad our players are talent wise this game showed just how really incredibly bad coaches they are. it was like lifeless animation watching this team play uninspired football today. lovie... just what are you watching out there? please realize i don't need a lunatic coach like ditka by any means at all, but this poor excuse of a HC is in freakin limbo!!! after seeing th…

What do you guys think and what would you do? On the plus side, he's a dumbass who has really been lazy the past couple years. Yes, he's played through an "injury", but he has skipped treatments in the past and just doesn't seam to get it. We'd also save money by cutting him as he's in a series of one year deals so there wouldn't be any cap rammifications, other than saving a few mill in current payroll (which could help the Bears cover the costs of firing Lovie and hiring someone else!!) On the down-side, they claim he's actually healthy and our two worse 1st halves of the Lovie era came with him on the sidelines. Maybe he is more valuable than we think an…

I'll focus on what could be changed right now to get the most out of our situation. Particularly looking at the future... 1. Jump on the nfo thought of moving Williams to LT, benching Pace and putting Shaffer at RT. Give it a whirl. Pace isn't going to be around next year. May as well start giving Williams the reps he needs. 2. Keep the offense similar to what Turner did this week. The change was working to a large extent. 3. Stop playing DB's so far off the LOS. I'd rather see us get burned once in a while vs. getting nit-picked to death for completions on every 3rd down. 4. Use some damn stunts on the D line for once... That's about…

I realize that we've already past the trade deadline, but I think its time to take a look at the future of this Bears team. One of the first names that comes to my mind is the wiley veteran, Olin Kreutz. Should we start to go another direction as we work on rebuilding our line? Could he be able to help us land an extra 3rd round pick in a trade? Would Josh Beekman (the so called guy grooming for the job) be a solid center. Essentially, should we trade Kreutz in the off-season for a 3rd or 4th pick, move Beekman to Center and than spend the money saved (plus whats in our coffers) for a big time tackle (or just find a real good RT if we think Williams can pla…

From his press conference today. "I feel good about what we’re doing offensively. There r sum things we need 2do a little bit better, which we’ll do & go from there" Turner blows, and if lovie doesnt see that then he should be fired.

Was pondering the OL situation (probably the Achille's Heel on the Offense right now) the other day and came up with a "what if" situation. Since Pace is having a heck of a time at LT (and I know that is his "natural" position) why not switch him out with Williams? Obviously, Williams is going to eventually move back to LT, where he played in college, so why not go there now? Having Pace on the Right side would help Cutler out a bunch as when he rolls out he looks that way anyhow. And when Pace loses the leverage on the rush then Cutler can make the adjustment needed without worrying as much about the blindside rush. Which brings me to the other side. I think with Wi…

Everybody is dinged up back there...EVERYONE is dinged up. Is it they are having to make plays the front seven should be handling? Or are they on the field too long? good golly they are all hurt back there.

This team is not going to the playoffs. They will be lucky to win 3 more games. Lovie Smith will not be fired. He has 2 years left on his contract at 5.5 million a year. They are not going to eat his contract. Knowing this, Angelo should sit down with Lovie this week and tell him if they don't win 2 of the next 3 games they should start playing some of the younger players. Gilbert, Moore, Iglesias, and Toenia all should see significant time to help them develop for next yr. Further, Gaines Adams should get reps over Ogy since he is more than likely gone. It's going to be a long 8 weeks. Peace

Angelo has given us poor offensive line, 2nd class wr, d-line that is ineffective and bad drafts with Tommie and tank. Etc etc . Lovie lost the team with these ridiculous performances. Lovie tolerates turners poor performance. I think it's just better, especially with a franchise quarterback, to start fresh. New gm, new coach , new scouts, new assistant coaches. If Phillips was a real team president he should go too, but he is just a figure head.

Tillman & Alfalava hurt from the secondary & Wolfe on O. With a short week coming up it's probably not looking good. AP at least is back but Vasher most likely replaces Tillman if he can't go. Who goes in at S? Payne?

The crowd unloaded on Tommie Harris when he walked off the field. What a douche bag. He will be suspended by the league and, if I was coach, he would be done on this team. Then at halftime, they unloaded again. What a horrible, pathetic display of football. Peace

The Bears game is on TV here this week. I got a nice HD and free OTA HD broadcast, plus a basement full of homemade beer. However, The games I have watched at the bar this year the bears have won, every game I watched at home we have lost. I am usually not a superstitious person but when it comes to the bears I think anything helps....what to do what to do also for anyone out of market here is a great website that will tell you what games are playing in your neck of the woods each week. http://the506.com/nflmaps/

http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=333919&src=148 Hell yes. Can't agree more, as I know Jason will agree as well. You just can not ignore OL in the draft as we have and expect to have a good OL. Adding FAs as we have, you might have a year or two in there where the OL plays well, but it will never see consistency. I would further argue against the FA route we have gone by pointing out the OL, more than most units, needs time to develop chemistry. When you add older vets who are not expected to have more than a year or so left, you just will not have sustained success. Even if Pace played better, he was a short term solution. It would be one thing i…
