How about Fitzmagic and Ehlinger in the draft for next season? Leaves us the first pick for OT. I heard an interview with the Longhorn, seems pretty heady and smart. I’ll admit I watched next to noting in terms of Texas’ games this year.

Matt Forte was seen limping off the field during today's OTA - he didn't return. It all happened a few minutes before the practice ended, so the fact that he didn't come back from the locker room may not mean much. Turner on the injury: "I don't think there's any concern...I think he'll be fine.''

Angelo had a little Q&A on the Chicago Bears web site. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/NewsStory.asp?story_id=6833 Most of it is nothing new, and not really worth discussion IMHO. One thing I did belief worth mentioning was his answer to the Atogwe question. LM: Now that safety O.J. Atogwe is a free agent, will the Bears try to sign him? JA: He’s a good football player. We’ve evaluated him and we like him. But at this point, we’re set. We drafted Major Wright and traded for Chris Harris. We also have Danieal Manning, Craig Steltz and Josh Bullocks, all of whom have started in this league. We have five pretty good safeties, four of whom have a…

Hunter was already in a tough position. Coming off a bad season, the guy who replaced him has been seemingly replaced by a veteran (Pisa), likely pushing Hunter further down the depth chart. Hunter needs to make a strong case to stick, but w/ the injury, he can't even play right now. IMHO, the best argument for him to stay on the team was his ability to provide depth at both SLB and MLB. Just read today that, w/ Urlacher held out of practice (for a minor issue), it was Jamar Williams manning the middle. If Jamar, who all reports say has had among the best offseason showings thus far, can prove capable of handling the middle, the top reason to keep Hunter may be g…

So in the 3rd Quarter, on the Raiders only TD drive, Carr gets hurt, then Peterman comes in for a few plays. On a 4th and inches play, the Raiders get a great spot without there being any possible way the side judges can see where the ball is to spot the ball. Here is the play in 4 pics: PIC 1 - Ball is spotted just short of a football's length from the first down marker.

It just seems to me, the following are things are bad trends that seem to have no end in sight... 1. We can't beat Green Bay. One out of the 9 last attempts is beyond dismal 2. We have a hard time beating good teams. Seems like when we go against a really good team, we tend to play our worst. Whether is the Giants, SF, Green Bay, NE, NO...granted, most teams struggle against good teams. But good teams beat good teams often enough. We can beat up on the Colts, Vikings, Rams...but when it comes to a good team, I think our record is really awful. 3. We play poor at night it seems. We did win a couple last year. But damn if it just doesn't seem we play our …

2yr $10mil incentives up to $16mil. This is good for both sides. Tyson gets more time in Ben Johnson’s system which will only help him down the road. We get a quality backup at a critical position.

  10. Take it for what it is worth. Clearly the Bears and Ballard are interested. I think the Bears are lined up to meet with Ballard on Wednesday and are meeting with some other GM candidates today / tomorrow. My guess is by Friday Bears will introduce their new GM, if not sooner.

http://dawindycity.com/2015/01/05/report-c...eneral-manager/ Well.....it sounds like they have made up their mind. Did they really need Ernie? The guy spent 12 years with the Bears what could Ernie have told them they didn't already know?

  12. Started by ASHKUM BEAR,

Jeremy Langford was released by Baltimore today. That didn't last long. Since Howard has a shoulder injury and Cunningham a knee, should the Bears reach back out to Langford? Can a free agent be signed to the practice squad or does he have to be on the active roster? He knows the offense and if Howard shoulder doesn't improve, Langford can step in and be at least better as a receiver. If we can sign him to the PS, I am for it.

I was not surprised to see Denver beat Baltimore soundly; Baltimore was lucky to win the SB IMO, they were high on the Ray Lewis retirement and won on adrenaline and luck....they are a good team but not SB material, certainly are in for a fall down this year. It was interesting to see the old Bear Corey Graham starting for them; I wish we could have kept him as I thought he was an excellent player for us and somehow was in Lovie's doghouse. What does everyone think of the game? Manning is quite the QB, they surely are going to the SB this year, at least the playoffs, very good looking team.

JK bschmaranz. Seriously though, I'd appreciate it if you would refrain from making similar predictions in the future. This thread is filled with prophecy and ignorance. It's amazing to look back at what has been said, and too easy for some to flip-flop when they realize they have been wrong. In this case, however, nobody is as right as bschmaranz.

I was thinking of possibly getting a new banner here. I don't have the photoshop skills, but perhaps someone else does. So here, I ask you to vote for 3 (if only 2 can fit in the banner, then that's fine and whoever can take the top 2) players who you'd like to see in the new banner.
