The Chicago Bears signed guard/center Andre Gurode on Tuesday after waiving defensive tackle Amobi Okoye, the team announced. The Bears lost guard Lance Louis for the season with a knee injury after a hit from the Minnesota Vikings' Jared Allen on Sunday. Cutler flips a football at a defender and is fined $10000. No injury whatsoever there. Jared Allen intentionally leaves his feet on an illegal blindside block and drives into the head of his opponent with his helmet, giving him a concussion and tearing his knee apart in the process. Punishment for this is only twice as much as flipping a football at someone: $21000. Nonetheless I'm off to get my flight to Chicago and will be at Sunday's game against Seattle. Thankfully the forecast says this Arizonan will be in 60 degree weather.

Cutler and the O did their job. The D failed us for 2 very long drives. In fact, Pepper may have caused the loss with his bonehead offsides when we had SEA at their own 10. However, Smith and Tice botching the 4th and short...was the 3 points we needed to win. Between the D and coaches...this loss is on them.

So maybe now is a good time to try SMC at LB?

So, Hester and Bennett are out with concussions. Alshon has a knee problem, which followed a hand problem. That leaves the Bears with Marshall, Dane, Weems...which really means, Marshall. So, what are his thoughts? Brandon Marshall's thoughts I would not mind seeing Mike Sims-Walker on this team one bit. He comes in, proves himself, and next year he probably beats out one of the other WRs for a #3 or #4 role. Win-win

Jeffery and Hester both were at practice yesterday and have a chance to play the week against the Vikings. We really need both of them to take pressure of of Marshall and to give ay someone else to throw to since bennett is going to be out.

So many of us have expressed dissatisfaction with Lovie and Co,. wondering on thoughts about next year for Lovie and staff. I was talking to my dad last night and it led me to feel that maybe it would be best to keep him on, he has been a good figure for Chicago and with the help of Emery in the future maybe he will have the players to take us to the big game. I say this with some trepidation as I am not a fan of his Defensive philosophy but overall he seems to do a good job... What do the experts think?

-The WR's/TE's can't catch. Marshall had 2 drops today as did Kellen Davis. Hester and Jeffery EACH dropped a TD. -Cutler didn't play well although drops never help. -Even though the OL is playing alright, they had a hold and then a false start on the one drive after Forte had a long run + a personal foul. -Forte had 85 yards on 13 carries. Only 13 carries? Why even sign him to an extension then?
