We made a significant offer to Phil Loadholt to play RT for us. He resigned with Minnesota. If he signs with the Bears, J Webb is our starting LT pending the draft. I have no idea if we sign Scott or where Carimi plays. After he Loadholt passed, we signed Bushrod to play LT. Now we have have Carimi/Webb and a possible Scott battling for the RT position. It also makes the prospect of us drafting a tackle unlikely IMO. Who is the RT?

Today was a great day for Phil Emery. He brought in one of the top TE's and a LT that has been to 2 probowls. Two positions that had cost the Bears many chances to win last season. It seems like we get a Christmas every offseason, which hopefully with some good drafts will not be needed in the future. Bears signings: Martellus Bennett TE - One of top all around TE's available, if Bennett keeps his head in the game. Jermon Bushrod LT- 2 time probowl LT for Brees, Bushrod faced a pass rush probably close to 70% of the game. For all you Webb lovers, it ok, he wont be cut. He will either be the RT or swing tackle. Bushrod is an upgrade, the Bears believe that, Kromer believes that. There are in a better position to judge that than we are. We got better today and thats all that matters.

I heard a rumor the other day from a reliable source that the Raiders would be willing to part with Rolando McClain for a very insignificant amount in trade. Possibly a 6th or 7th round draft pick. And that's IF he doesn't get released. Young, crazy talented, maybe a bit stupid, definitely a bit of a trouble maker, but a possibly cheap solution for the MLB situation in Chicago. For all capologists: What would he count against the cap if he were traded to the Bears?

If we can sign either one of the two guards Moore or Boothe, re-sign Urlacher & Roach what do we do in the draft?
