This little tidbit from Peter Kings MMQB... "Peterson, and the rest of the league, should know this about his running style: Gap control is far and away the most important single factor in stopping him from running wild. That's not a cliché. It's a fact with him." I hope the Bears front can stay in their gaps...and our DB's can do their job this week!! VERY IMPORTANT GAME!!!!

At 6-3 202lbs and running a 4.4-4.5 we need him I think What do you think Three-year starter who established himself as one of the finest receivers in UNM and Mountain West Conference history...earned first team all-MWC honors as a junior and senior to become one of just three Lobo WRs to earn first team all-conference honors twice in a career, joining Terance Mathis (1986-87, `89 WAC) and Preston Dennard (1974, `76 WAC)...a complete wide receiver who was smart, polished, ran great routes and became a very sure-handed pass catcher...excellent "football" speed, running as well in pads as he did without...a tough, aggressive player who was not afraid to go across the …

    1. Why was Jones inactive? 2. Why did AP receive carries so early in the game (2nd & 3rd QTR)? 3. What were Wolfe's run-plays? The play-by-play never really tells the whole story of sweep versus off-tackle. Thanks

I did some snooping around to see if the NFL is going to get off the ass and suspend the two DTs for Minny and found nothing other than they went to talk to the commish and a ruling was to be made. I guess the DE was cleared, only received a fine and will not be suspended for the late hits. Does anyone know if they when this is suppose to be decided? They were talking during the game that Deuce M might be suspended before this coming week 13 games. This leads me to believe there is still hope we will face Minny without the Williams duo, which would certainly make life easier for us.

  8. HOPEFULLY, Orton will be healthier and better able to plant come next week against the Vikings - the true/actual "make or break" game on the Bears schedule. The Rams are a mess, yet Orton and the Bear passing game has been getting worse as the game has worn on - not unlike the Packer game. Orton can't plant and has been inaccurate on many downfield throws. Additionally, the receivers, look pretty pedestrian. This is fine against the Rams, but the Vikings will score repeatedly next week, the only shot the Bears have is a pre-injury type performance from Orton.

There was one play Harris made today that caught my eye, and it wasn't either of his two sacks. It was the tackle he made on the RB about 12 yards downfield. In the past we've seen him hustle to make plays after the RB got behind the Dline but he hasn't done that much this year, at least not running that far downfield IIRC. Tommie has been practicing during the last few weeks and seeing him run like that, along with a couple sacks is making think that perhaps he is getting back to 100%. We'll find out next week.

From Peter Kings Monday Morning QB - 10 things I think I think http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...3/Week12/4.html 9. I think we learned this about the Cardinals Sunday: They will never win a game at Giants Stadium in January if they have to play there. Come to think of it, what NFC team will challenge the Giants in the NFL Championship Game? I'll tell you the best team, and Cris Collinsworth agrees: Dallas. Number two for me: Chicago. Talk about respect from out of nowhere. I hope the team can live up to the "hype". *** Sorry about the triple post, my computer went a little nuts.

I didn't get to watch the game, but I did listen to ESPN radio. It seemed like every guy who had anything to say about the game had the same opinion. Later I listened to someone on 670 - for the 10 minutes or so I had reception - and it was the same. So my question is... Did the Bears look that good, or did the Rams look that bad? For instance, pretty much everyone was saying that Ogunleye's sacks were not because he had some sort of exemplary effort, but instead because he had a clean run at the QB. It also seems that most were saying that the Bears offense didn't really look that great; instead, it seems that they were indicating that the Rams' defense loo…

I've seen this now in 2 separate ESPN chats that the bears are working on a Wildcat formation this week, and that Hester could be involved. Id be happier to see the Wildcat run with Forte and Jones, rather than Forte and Hester, simply because the wildcat doesnt really get hester into too much space where he can be effective

sucks donkey balls. I was extremely disappointed. The sound system was way, way too loud and it feels like a tomb inside. I like how the newer domed stadiums have windows (Indy, AZ, etc). I will say the concessions and facilities are much nicer that Soldier but that is probably true of any stadium. Peace

As I was watching the highlights of Forte today on nfl.com, I couldn't help but notice that John Tait was great today. He had a great block sealing off a defender on his 13 yard TD run, and the key block that sprung it all loose on the 47 yard TD run. Props to John on his best game of the year (and props to the rest of the OL on a great game, as well).

does anybody that watched that game doubt for a minute that las vegas made the call? as time expired on a kickoff return the bolts were lateraling the ball and polamalu tipped one backward lateral and ran it in for a td. the results made no difference in the outcome of the game and only effected the actual score and gambling spread. it was so plain, so obvious (even the field ref called it a td) that the only conclusion in my mind is that gambling/vegas influenced or paid off the review judge. never in my entire life have i see a play reviewed by booth or otherwise after time expired which would not influence the final outcome of the game and certainly reverse a…

Noots’ Notes-Game 11: 27-3 Win over St. Louis By Michael Nudo The Chicago Bears (6-5) dominated the St. Louis Rams (2-9) with 5 sacks, 4 interceptions and over 200 rushing yards. They kept pace with the Vikings atop the NFC North, and will face them next Sunday night. A break out performance (AP Photo/Jeff Roberson). OFFENSE Quarterback Kyle Orton (18-29-139, TD) had a better game than last week, but still isn’t quite right. He moved around in the pocket better but struggled with his accuracy at times. He was sacked once, but it was more of him tripping as he got out from center. Orton’s prettiest pass was a 27-yard lob up the right sideline to D…

He blames everything wrong with Hester on the coaching staff. He said you don't take the best weapon ever and try to turn him into something he's not which will obviously make him not so much of a great weapon anymore. He said then said something that I really have never thought about- it went like this: "You guys want a #1 receiver? THEN GO OUT AND SIGN ONE!!!!!!" Thoughts?
