http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...b4-8f804c803c64 “The Bears need safety help, and Vereen has the potential to be the answer for them,” Brandt writes. “He’s a very good athlete with speed and strength who started at both safety and corner for the University of Minnesota in 2013."

Looks like we'll see a new KR/PR this week. Maybe we'll see him at WR on a few plays as the Bears explore options for next season at slot WR. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...5f-e22d2b573b31 Roster moves: The Bears on Tuesday promoted rookie running back Bralon Addison from the practice squad to the active roster, officially placed receiver Eddie Royal on injured reserve and waived offensive lineman Cornelius Edison. Addison entered the NFL this year with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent from Oregon. He spent the offseason with Denver before being waived prior to the start of the regular season. I read this article and then looked at some stats to see where we fall. It's the end of the first quarter of the season so at this point things are leveling off and we can draw some conclusions from the numbers. https://www.nbcsports.com/chicago/bears/bears-prove-they-have-nfls-best-defense-win-over-tampa-bay Bears defensive rankings (others are from highest to lowest i.e. #1, #2): yards/gm 4th behind Jax, Baltimore, Washington pts/gm 4th behind Jax, Washington, Baltimore INTs 2nd with 8 behind Miami with 9. Jax has 1, Bal 4, Wash 3 FF 1st with 8. Jax has 2, Wash 1, Bal 2 Sacks 1…

I don't know about you, but I didn't expect this kind of season from our kicker. Santos broke all kinds of franchise records and ended the season making 27 straight kicks. His only misses were from 46 and 52, with one blocked XP. I really hope we can lock him up for a few years and not have to worry about kicking. Then our favorite ex-kicker Parkey is prepping to let down another entire fanbase in Cleveland in the playoffs.

Just need to do a quick recognition of Robert Quinn and his historic sack total. To think his highest number (19) was achieved during the 2013 (almost 9 years ago!!) season that’s pretty incredible. And while achieving this year’s record he also logged his 100th career sack. Congratulations Robert.

“We have a great relationship,” Trubisky said. “It all started last year, and it’s just going to keep growing better and better. It’s just that player-coach relationship, that constant communication and just me doing whatever he wants and envisions and translating that right to the field. "me doing whatever he wants". Can't see McMahon ever saying anything like that about Ditka. Different time but same place.

He's our best DB and it's always noticeable whenever he's not on the field. If he can play this week it will be a nice boost to our defense especially with some more question marks at the outside corners.

It's D Day, and I don't think past what scs pciked for Chicago in Rd 3...none of us care. At least I don't. I'm happy to keep picking, but it seems like it needs to die at this point.

Last year the home run would have been Jim Harbaugh but Warren had a problem with him in the Big 10. So we got Flus back. To me, Johnson seems like a Mcvay or Shanahan type of hire. Did destiny have us go thru a reset year to get us to the right Coach and drafted QB? Had we had a winning season, Flus could still be here. I'm going with the Bears God lined the Stars for this union to take place. Instead of talking about winning seasons, I think we are going to be talking about how many SBs did we win 10 years from now.

Found this article on SI.com. It's a good read, and yes, he played "End" at 170lbs. https://www.si.com/vault/1977/12/05/622015/...-woman-under-48

Torn pectoral muscle. https://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/bears-sam-acho-out-for-season/ Who gets the call? Irving or Fitts? I think it will be Irving. Fitts needs a lot of work on his pass rushing moves.

Long time fan of his. Sorry to see someone my age die from something tragic as a car wreck. Had not heard of him for years since leaving the midwest over 30 years ago but did enjoy him when I heard him. Funny and sad how one can hear someones voice in their head. Kinda like the mouth. Morton Downey. Don't know where that came from. But both aird in Chicago at one time or another. Oh and another Dick Beondie. WLS. "The way women skirts are going they are going to have to part their hair in two places soon." Will that get me banned here like it got Beondie from WLS a long time ago. For those of you who never lived in the Chicago area I'm sorry for my old man ra…

Bears sign LB Monti Te’o to the Practice Squad. Does this spell the end for Danny T? Te’o was a pretty decent LB in college. Had speed like Smith... https://www.chicagobears.com/news/roster-moves-bears-sign-manti-te-o-to-practice-squad

One tough son of a bitch young man to reveal that. I can't believe how hard that must of been. He must have great control and medical protocols to keep under control. To have never been publicly reveled before. I have no idea how humans respond to or control such a thing. We have a dog that suffers from the same condition. We're happy to go a month and a half with out a seizure. First one came a week after we picked her up from the rescue group. Thought she was dying and we had some how poisoned her. It's a daily battle to try and prevent the next one. But as my wife says she is our forever dog. I only hope for the best for him but his draft stock seems tough…
