With Demps designated to return, the Bears can no longer bring back Kevin White this year, which officially ends his season. Demps joins Hall as the two (and only) players that the Bears can designate to return from IR.

Well, the Eagles have Foles and Wentz. Does anyone doubt they will trade one of them, probably Foles? That's another team getting a QB from somewhere other than the first 7 picks of the 2018 NFL Draft...

This was one of the most informative and engaging interviews I have ever heard. He described Pace as a cutting edge GM and that he had been after him for two years . He said he told Loomis that if this guy wants to be a GM he needs to interview now. He also talked about how the impromptu interview went down with Todd Bowles and said after that Pace lead the interviews for all the rest of the candidates and that he took the background when Fox became available. He really feels strongly about Adam Gase as a HC candidate from his interview with him and he talked about how Fangio had made Eli Manning look out of sorts when his defense had an attack plan against him.

In another post, I mentioned how I felt unsettled over the way last season ended and this began. I know why now. Our identity is offense while the defense retools. Problem is, the 2 people at the forefront of the offense are knuckleheads.(Trestman and Cutler) Both made bonehead decisions that compromised our ability to win. After that, we still had a chance to win in OT and our dynamic duo could not come through. This does not bode well for a the confidence of our defense. #1 Trips right, Jeffery stops and actually drifts back. Forte goes up the gut and into the flats. Marshall and Bennett stay in routes. Interesting to see the defenders bite on Jeffery and Forte and leave Marshall and Bennett. Great pocket throughout. I would've like to have seen Forte turn the other way and spread the defenders out more. In all 4 pics, Cutler is zeroed in on Bennett/Marshall. In #4 you can see he is almost "all arming" the ball.

I really like this guy. It seems like he gets it, he knows how to make the defense better and they will be next year. It was interesting to hear all the praise go to Fangio, and I don't think anyone ever mentioned Pagano once.
