I'm watching Leonard Floyd and he's everything we wanted him to be. Last year of Fangio, he had the hand injury and got 4.5 sacks. Under two years of Pagano, he got 7. He has eight this year while competing with Aaron Donald. Great job Pace and Pagano for giving us an older Quinn at a higher price and an older age. Bravo! What a cluster f$&k!

Cheese Monday, May 5, 2014 12:08 amWritten by: ThePostGame Staff 764 153 16 It was fitting that, during a recent trip to Chuck E. Cheese, Bears offensive lineman Kyle Long scored in the "Pro Bowl" range of a game in which you toss footballs into small holes. After all, the 25-year-old Long, who was the Bears' 2013 first-round pick, earned a trip to the Pro Bowl in his first season in the league. But Long wasn't at Chuck E. Cheese to confirm his football fitness. No, he had a much better reason to hit up the arc…

  9. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/...ver-four-years/ Forte deal has base value of $30.4 million over four years Posted by Mike Florio on July 19, 2012, 12:58 AM EDT AP Bears running back Matt Forte previously said he doesn’t need to be the highest-paid running back in the NFL. And that’s a good thing. Because his new deal puts him far from it. On one hand, Forte will be paid handsomely. On the other hand, multiple other running backs have better deals, including the franchise-tagged running back from Baltimore who signed a new deal later in the same day Forte got paid. Initially reported as a four-year, $32 million contract on Monday,…

So some dude on Bleacher Report writes (use the term loosely) on the 6 teams he is betting on to not hit their win total and that are overrated. He thinks the Bears will not hit 6.5 wins, which may be true but he clearly doesn't know who is on this team or their schedule. So Mooney, Kmet, or Johnson are not established starters apparently. Stopgap?

  11. Apparently we are making a trade for 29 yo IOL Journeyman Dan Feeney from the Dolphins. He's played OC and OG in San Diego, and then was a primary backup for the Jets. He's probably better than what we have at OC, and backup OG after Davis and Jenkins. He played every game the past two seasons for the Jets (while starting only 5 and 2 games), but started every game but one from 2017 thru 2020 for the Chargers. Here's some film break down from a couple years ago. He looks pretty good in the zone scheme, bumping the right guys, and holding up pretty well on his one on ones. This really helps. But what are we giving? Hopefully in a package with Gipson whe…

  16. Started by adam,

This sucks. One of the loopholes to the Practice Squads. As long as players are signed to 53-man rosters, you can lose your PS players. We just lost Whyte. Surprised we didn't put Trevathan on IR immediately and brought Whyte up. He was a 7th Round Pick.

  17. Started by AZ54,

I've liked him for many weeks and I'm glad we have him. I don't view him as a starter level player but he has enough ability that he might achieve that if he works hard enough. Given the poor depth we have at OLB he should see some snaps this year. NFL.com graded him as a potential future starter. The comp to RRH might be a realistic as he's not the fastest off the line. As we always say with Day 3 picks he'll need to get stronger to handle NFL OTs.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100000022...ofter-last-year It was said in a positive way in that he's saying he so much better this year. The article linked above is pretty good. But in the video in that article, about 1:10 in, they mention that Cutler said "Not everyone on the team has bought into Trestman yet." I'm not sure what the context was but that's horrible if true. Let me know if you've heard discussions about Cutler's comment and what, if anything, explains it.
