What has been over-looked as part of Idonije's value to this team has been his knack for blocking kicks which has become a lost art in the NFL.Since his arrival as an undrafted free agent he has worked his way into being a key contributor on defense and special teams.On a lot of Hester's runs you can see Idonije's number throwing a key block.I would put Idonije's value on special teams right behind Hester,Gould,Maynard,Mannely and AP. This along with his ability to swing between tackle and end may make a couple of guys expendable.

that really surprised me, I thought he still had get up and go. His worth to Houston was minimal and they let him go, Thought everyone needed a pass rusher. well goes to show his better days are behind him.

Anyone else notice this? I was going to look at some Bears stuff and it told me to go back.

Looking at a defense that is in double digit territory in turnovers and leading the league in points per game is what we like after 6 games and having an established #1 WR for the QB to throw to under duress. Having the deepest DL in the league after enetring the season with the age of the defense being questioned was not expected. On a couple of series during the Mon Nite game the DL was Wooten, Melton, Paea and McClellin.The play of the line didn't drop off when these not "old guys" were on the field. There were so many Bears fans at that game it seemed like a home game. Sat and Sun night almost every bar we went into ran out of beer and booze it was funny as shit. The bartenders all kept saying you chicago fans are the best group of drinkers they had ever seen. Any of you guys get a chance to get to Nashville for a Bears game I suggest you do it.

Comcast is reporting the Bears are reaching out to Josh McCown who is still unsigned since they cut him before the season.This might indicate the Bears may be trying to be careful with Cutler since he has suffered multiple concussions in his career and they would be big hippocrates after hosting a press conference on Sunday featuring Otis Wilson, Gary Fencik and Ted Phillips about concussions.

Looks like Forte and Marshall got into a dust-up on the sideline. If that was Cutler in that minor whatever-you-call-it, everyone would be calling him a whiny douche.

I really don't care how big this game is I don't want Jay to play. When the replay of that hit is shown time to time even I get woozy and get a migraine. Even if we had a halfway decent line I wouldn't play him. If this team has any moxie they would squeak out a win, but that besides the point.
