It's hard to say what he has left physically but as far as leadership in our secondary we haven't seen anyone like him since we lost Mike Brown. Even if he's lost a step or two keeping everyone on the same page will pay huge dividends compared to the crap we saw last year with players wandering around not knowing their assignments. http://www.scout.com/nfl/bears/story/15574...bears-secondary

We're just more than a week out from the start of training camp. Scout.com has a good article on potential surprise cuts. Some on their list I'd say wouldn't be a surprise and have been discussed here during the offseason (i.e. Carey). http://www.scout.com/nfl/bears/story/15632...-cut-candidates I think Bostic is on the bubble big time. I don't know if he's healthy yet but he has a lot of catching up to do. Aside from that when you go back and recall who Fangio said he felt he could build his defense around Bostic name was pushed aside for players like SMC and Jones. Missing an entire offseason of practices is not helpful for a player like Bostic who d…

On the Bears website is a 3-part discussion with Pace about the upcoming season. I think it's worth listening to as he gives his insights on shaping the roster. A couple things caught my attention: http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...da-806eb0d2fc1b 1) He wants to see physical players on this team. You better not shy away from contact if you want to make this roster and he expects to see that on display in camp. I've never been to a training camp practice but it soundsl like there will be more contact than we've seen in years past with Trestman. 2) He knows this roster has some significant gaps and he's still looking for players to add. …

How long before this guy gets reps with the 1st team at RT? Mills by all accounts has not looked good so far while Leno has seemingly played well when he's gotten a shot at LT (when Bushrod had a day off Sat). I think this coaching staff is far from settled on who our top 5 Oline are and I'm not sure I'd move Long out to RT as everyone else wants to do. We have Montgomery (a career backup C) or Grasu (a rookie) in the middle and I'd much rather have either Center covered by Slauson/Long than Slauson/Ola/Groy/Ducasse. We can help someone like Leno/Mills at RT with Bennett or just have the RBs chip that way too. No matter what we might think nobody really knows how we…

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ex-nfl...sources-n412831 Very sad. I always remember how fun Kramer to Conway and Graham was. It didn't last long, but that was a rare aerial attack from the Bears. I hope he can over his depression. I also hadn't realized his 18 year old son had died from a drug overdose. Articles like this are why my kids will watch football, but never play (outside of flag).

Looking at a defense that is in double digit territory in turnovers and leading the league in points per game is what we like after 6 games and having an established #1 WR for the QB to throw to under duress. Having the deepest DL in the league after enetring the season with the age of the defense being questioned was not expected. On a couple of series during the Mon Nite game the DL was Wooten, Melton, Paea and McClellin. The play of the line didn't drop off when these not "old guys" were on the field. BTW 3 of those 4 guys I mentioned are JA picks and if you add in Tillman, DJ Moore and Briggs plus the aqusitions of Peppers ,Idonije,Jennings and Okoye(2011), JA didn't l…

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/49700632/ns/lo...-nashville-dry/ Me and about 15 guys went down to see the game. It was amazing.. Great city, fun people... There were so many Bears fans at that game it seemed like a home game. Sat and Sun night almost every bar we went into ran out of beer and booze it was funny as shit. The bartenders all kept saying you chicago fans are the best group of drinkers they had ever seen. Any of you guys get a chance to get to Nashville for a Bears game I suggest you do it.

Comcast is reporting the Bears are reaching out to Josh McCown who is still unsigned since they cut him before the season. This might indicate the Bears may be trying to be careful with Cutler since he has suffered multiple concussions in his career and they would be big hippocrates after hosting a press conference on Sunday featuring Otis Wilson, Gary Fencik and Ted Phillips about concussions.

Looks like Forte and Marshall got into a dust-up on the sideline. If that was Cutler in that minor whatever-you-call-it, everyone would be calling him a whiny douche.

I really don't care how big this game is I don't want Jay to play. When the replay of that hit is shown time to time even I get woozy and get a migraine. Even if we had a halfway decent line I wouldn't play him. If this team has any moxie they would squeak out a win, but that besides the point. I'm think of his longtime health as a human being, father, husband not as a essential key clog for a win. Last I read the Bear Org. is scrambling for answers and have been making changes to the OL and talks of packages schemed for max protect. Shame on you ! Everybody outside Halas hall has been crying out loud of how inept of our talent level at OL is and immediate …
