His offense just put up 47 against NE (with the best QB performance in playoff history) and 36 on KC in back-to-back weeks. Absolutely bonkers. If not for the stupid OT rule, the Bills win this game. To end the regular season after that snowmaggedeon game, the Bills offense scored 27, 31, 33, 29, and 27 going 4-1 in the process. If you include the postseason, that is 7 straight games with 27 or more points. The Bears hit 27 in 3 times the entire year.

here is a synopsis of how this organization is working toward a new GM and coach... bill polian is hired in 2021 by curious george to advise the inept mccaskey family on how to proceed with running their franchise. according to rumor, polian was advising the bears back in november 2021. deciding, it appears, that nagy wasn't the man for the HC job. what that means is that ryan pace had become untenable to do this job as a GM. what does that mean? it means that at this time ryan pace is now going to be replaced also. so, it appears bill polian has had the reins to how the football operations are going to proceed since november 2021. in approximately 2 months jim …

Despite our issues at WR for some reason I still lean toward fixing the CB/S position in Rd 2. That's not to say I wouldn't draft a WR there if the right talent fell to us. Maybe at this point I simply like the DB options in Rd 2 better than the WR options. Looking at WR who will still be on the board in Rd 2-5 I came across Justyn Ross. Physically he's an easy fit to step into ARob's role but he has some serious injury history having had surgery to repair a congenital fusion condition with his neck and spine. He missed all of 2020 for that but returned in 2021 and still played well. I like his skill set and he's a player I'll be tracking as we go through the scouti…

Sorry but Robbie Gould kicking Aaron Rodgers out of the playoffs is worth it’s own thread. #SFownsRodgers. Always a Bear. And both the 1st round bye teams are out. “Any given Sunday.”

  6. not a good sign but i did see on twitter the interview went bad.

  7. Started by Mongo3451,

I posted the article from The Athletic on another thread, so I thought it would be good to post why things will be better. For starters, we all know about the Polian hiring. What some may not know is that George and Ted have been talking with him all year and placed him on the payroll in October. That's A big big deal. Ted Phillips had been proven to be a bumbling fool when it comes to football, but I didn't realize until the aforementioned article that he was in the good ol boys network. That alone pissed me off, but now that he's out of the football part maybe the best decision will be made. We are in a unique situation and this has Polian's stamp on i…

Bears should just hire Shoen and Dabol. Seriously I don’t want to over think this. Bills have drafted well, made good trades, run a good team. Don’t get cute and take the two Bills guys. Than see if Dabol can go lure Fangio to be DC :). I want Dabol building an offense around Fields. I also want Dabol bringing Ken Dorsey with him too!

Figured I'd make a thread where we could track who the candidates are that they have formerly requested permission, etc. I will update this shortly (but wanted to put it somewhere): Kwesi Adofo-Mensah - Browns VP of football operations Glenn Cook - Browns VP of player personnel Morocco Brown - Colts Rick Smith - Former Texans GM (retired due to personal reasons - in early 50's and coming back after his wife passed away from cancer) Jeff Ireland - New Orleans Asst GM & College Scouting Director; Former GM for Dolphins - infamously known for his pre-draft interview w/ Dez Bryant. Ed Dodds - Colts VP of Player Personnel

  11. Started by BearFan PHX,

Hey all, After 35 years in NYC (I grew up outside of Chicago), in September, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona. It's great here. MODs: I'd love to change my display name to "BearFan PHX" if possible? I could always make a new profile if necessary, but I'd love to keep my stats, and either way I'll keep the Willie Galimore jersey! And when I do change my name, I thought all of you, lovers, haters and indifferent alike would want to know that it was still me, and not someone new. That's all Mods please let me know? Thanks!

  12. Thought this was interesting - one because he is a really good candidate, but 2 the timing. Seemed quick given they are likely to focus on a GM first. The only reason you would want to fast track some of the coaches might be because there are a few you think you might move on before you hire a GM (i.e., Harbaugh).

  13. This franchise is unbelievable. George is a complete imbecile that couldn't run a fast food chain. They could have just run a replay of the 2015 presser. Even that was less stupid than what I heard today. Every bit of goodwill and hope is just pie in the sky. This franchise will NEVER amount to anything as long as this family owns them.

All he had to do was beat Jacksonville in a meaningless game for them, and he burps a fart. I still can't believe the Colts missed the playoffs. The Bears are no different than the Chargers, Colts, Ravens, Browns, Saints or Vikings, they all missed the playoffs. Just a crazy sequence to end the season and the Bears benefit from so many bad teams winning, boosting their draft slot a few places. So back to Indy, when is Chris Ballard going to get any bad press? Wentz was their answer, just like Rivers was before. The Colts traded the 16th pick in the 2022 draft for Wentz, they missed the playoffs, and owe Wentz 103M. Philly relieved themselves of Wentz, made the …

  17. Started by adam,

Wow, first off, I love Brandon Staley. Did anyone else see the Chargers Raiders game? If they tied, both would make the playoffs due to IND's loss. Well LAC scored a last-second TD and forced overtime (they didn't go for 2). Then in OT they swapped FGs and with the game tied and the Raiders at the LAC39 with 38 seconds left (and a running clock), Staley called a timeout. It was clear to everyone in the world that the Raiders were content to run out the clock and take a tie. It would've been a 56 yard FG from there and the risk of a block or something bad happening was too high. They even said this after the game. They were actually going to take a knee! So…

  18. Bears at Vikings, no Fields. Both teams playing for pride? It would be such a Bear thing to do, so Bears 23-17.

  19. Started by adam,

So it looks like the Falcons may try to move Calvin Ridley. He is going into his 5th year option year, and will have a $11.1M cap hit next year. The Falcons have $11M in cap space, but with only 30 players signed. They have some terrible contracts. Deion Jones has a cap hit of $20M with $24M in dead money. Immovable. Matt Ryan? $48M cap hit with $40M in dead money. Jake Matthews? $23.6M with $19.5M in dead money. The easy cut is Grady Jarrett, instead of $23.8M cap hit, they can save $16.5M by cutting him. That is all but guaranteed. So if they take the Jarrett cap space, they will have $27.5M for 22 players. Still not much wiggle room. Moving someone like Ridley wo…
