My apologies on two fronts; first if this has already been mentioned and second because I can’t figure out how to link it but Dan Wiederer had a great article in today’s Chicago Tribune about the leadership of this team. A great, great read. I can only hope George is finally truly enlightened because there’s some pretty damning stuff there.

Does anyone follow, listen to or watch anything from Barstool Sports? I have seen a few things, mainly Big Cat who is a Bears fan, seems like a funny guy. Well, Pat McAfee, former Indy Punter, just signed a $30M a year deal with FanDuel leaving Barstool Sports. First off, that is more than he made in his entire NFL career (which is mind-boggling). Secondly, I can't imagine what ESPN and other networks are paying terrible QBs as analysts (Dan Orlovsky, etc). Besides McAfee, the only other personality of interest in Barstool is Big Cat. The Bears were trailing the Packers 17-14 a few weeks ago with refs aiding the Packers throughout the game. The Packers are 9-3 but are 2-2 in their last 4 games. In their last two their defense has been terrible, allowing 34 pts to the Vikings (who beat the Packers and lost to the Lions lol), and 28 to the Rams. The Packers are favored by 12.5, but I feel like this one will be decided by 10 or less. Rodgers has some sort of toe issue and it is going to be 33 degrees on Sunday Night. If the season ended today, the Bears would have the 6th pick, tied with NYG and SEA, so they would rotate picks every round. So they lost a 1st and 4th for Fields, and 7th with Miller, and got back a 5th for Miller. Since HOU is terrible, that ends up as a very high 5th. The Bears got Borom and Herbert in the 5th last year. With the following picks, I would love to see the new GM move down on either Pick 37 or 71 and pick up a 4th rounder. That would give them 5 picks in the top 150, which is decent. With those 5 picks, you get a WR1, CB2, C, S, and BPA (WR, CB, or ILB). I would be happy with a draft like that. This will probably be an ugly loss for the Bears. Hicks, Edwards, Goodwin, Kmet, Robinson, and Smith all DNP on Wednesday. That is in addition to Fields battling the cracked ribs and Mack lost for the season. Murray and Hopkins were limited, but McCoy has filled in nicely for the Cards. They may be without Justin Pugh on the OL, but outside of that, they are pretty intact. I would expect the Bears to try to run the ball a lot, control the clock and keep the Cards off the field. I don't see any way the Bears can win this based on how they looked recently. Cardinals 31-17

I’ve been trying to avoid starting a new topic but saw a story on Robert Quinn that got my attention. Turns out he’s had a benign brain tumor most of his life. I know someone like that and being benign doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous or disruptive. Many props to him considering how he’s playing this year and has played most of his career.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all ! I enjoy coming here , mostly to read the commentary of my fellow Bears fans. You bring so much to the discussion and often joy is at the center of your words and thoughts, and for that I’m grateful. I hope you enjoy the day in your own special way. Take care and be safe.

Mark Konkol - who evidently is a old school reporter is indicating Nagy will coach his final game against the Lions. Will be fired after the game regardless of outcome. I can't believe this is true and if it is the case - you just do it (short week or not)...but if true, only the Bears could botch relieving its head coach this poorly.

Per some NFL insiders - too short of a turnaround. Dalton will start. Not surprised but still bummed. Was hoping Fields would crush Lions and make my thanksgiving extra exciting as I get delusional over prospects of next season with a real qb entering his 2nd year in the league ready to ascend!!!

The season is over, they would have to win 6 out of 7 to only have a slim chance at the playoffs based on wins by SF and MIN. So with that, this is what needs to happen the rest of the season or before next season. Fire Pace, fire Nagy and the entire coaching staff. You have to get the stench off this team and the only way is to clean house. Allow the new GM to come in and hire his guy. On offense, draft/sign a Center and WR, don't sign ARob, don't resign Monty. On defense, shoot Vildor to the moon, draft/sign a starting CB, Safety and ILB. Don't re-sign Nichols, only bring Hicks back on a one-year deal. This is going to be an extremely interesting matchup. Baltimore has the #1 Rushing Offense in the league, but their leading rusher is Jackson. On the flip side they have the worst passing defense in the league allowing 283 yds per game. Foles or Dalton as the Scout Team QB (playing as Jackson) is really going to prepare our defense well lol. Mack hasn't played in almost a month and was still not practicing on Wednesday. Hicks was out, Jackson was out. Trevathan was out. ARob was out. I am hoping this was more of extended rest to get them closer to 100% than anything else. What are your thoughts on the next crop of HoF QBs? Is the bar going to get tougher with the inflated stats? The top 5 active QBs in passing yards are Brady, Big Ben, Ryan, Rodgers, and Stafford. Obviously, Brady's HoF status is cemented, but it is interesting to see where the other guys fall in. Big Ben is 2nd in active passing yards (62K), is 2-1 in SB's but in those two games, his WR's got the MVPs (Ward and Holmes). He hasn't appeared in a SB in 11 years. He has the numbers and post-season wins to get a jacket but its been a long time since he was "elite". Not many QBs have 60K passing yards and 2 SB wins though (Brady, Manning, Big Ben). Matt Ryan…

I have no way of knowing if Nagy will be replaced as HC. I've given up trying to figure out what the 'brain trust' of the Bears are going to do.
