How confident are you in the Bears roster going into the season, today? Knowing that Poles has overhauled almost the entire roster in 2 years has me feeling pretty good. I think he needs one more offseason to hit the sweet spot, but we are going to be a pesky team this year. Guaranteed a winning record for only the 4th time in the last 17 years. The list goes on and on. Jay looked pretty good, amazing to see such a mobile QB able to move around the pocket or roll-out and give himself time to make plays downfield. To think how much better he will be once he learns the offense. I would not be surprised if Miami keeps Cutler and ditches Tannehill eventually. He had a couple of crazy throws but the defense had to respect the pass, allowing Ajayi to rack up yards on the ground.

Disclaimer: this is not about what is best long term... We talked a lot about blue chip players in the past. We currently have around 10. Looking at this draft, there aren't as many "can't miss" prospects at ten, as in the past. Looking at our 10 pick with the lens of who makes us better faster isn't usually best in the long run. Who is your guy in this draft that's an instant upgrade as a starter? Take into account learning curve per position. Please don't use someone that won't be available. Gimme your guy and why...

The 127 pick overall . . . I like Paea. I hope it's worth giving up a 4th to go up 8 spots. We must not like the 4th round very much. We seem determined to get out of it. Either that or we plan on trading down our 3rd to get back in it (that seems more likely) I can't believe we'd have taken Paea if the Chiefs had drafted Carimi. Weird. Weird, weird, weird.
