  2. I was looking over some stats and noticed a few things that got me excited. Regardless of what you may think, the Bears are closer to the 2022 Eagles than they are to the 2022 Bears this year. Jalen Hurts was in his 3rd year and finally broke thru with a new WR1 in AJ Brown. He ended the year with the following line: Passing: 306-460, 66.5%, 3701 yds, 22 TD, 6 INT; Rushing: 165 ATT, 760 yds, 13 TD If you simply give Fields the same number of attempts for both passing and rushing, his numbers (from 2022 w/o Moore) would look like this: Passing: 277-460, 60.4%, 3243 yds, 25 TD, 16 INT; Rushing: 165 ATT, 1179 yds, 9 TD Outside of the INTs, that is…

Things change quickly in the NFL world, especially when your team wins 12 games, and here's the first draft profile I've read where a player is compared against Tarik Cohen. https://thedraftnetwork.com/2019/01/08/2019-nfl-draft-player-profile-james-williams/ C.O.D./Agility – Elusive without being overly explosive on his feet. Much more James White in his ability to evade tacklers and pick up extra yards than he is Darren Sproles or Tarik Cohen. Light feet, but doesn’t possess the stop on a dime and make a cut at full speed ability that elite space players have.

  11. Link. This just needed to be posted somewhere before someone asked if he was available next year. That is all. Thank you.

It seems like the rust is finally off. What a game he had. In 3 games, Smith leads the NFL in total tackles (T-36), has 0.5 sacks, 2 TFLs, 1 INT, and 2 Passes Defended. If he can keep up this pace and get a couple of FF's he will be looking at a big contract. He is on pace for over 200 total tackles.

  13. Decent production for 568 defensive snaps: 3.5 sacks, 20 QB Pressures, and 5 TFL. He played the Bears in 2022, had 0.5 sacks, 7 total tackles, and 2 QB Hits against Fields. This seems like a upgraded rotational piece over the likes of Muhammad/Blackson.

  14. Started by adam,

So this guy got 1 target and 1 reception in Week 1. Even with that week of low usage, he still is 5th amongst TEs in receptions and yards, 3rd for 1st Downs, and has the highest Catch Rate amongst the top 20 TEs this season. He is 8th in AAV for his contract amongst TEs, only 500K more than Friermuth. It feels like the Bears got a very solid deal with Kmet who is signed thru 2027. His cap hit is fixed, so every year it is going to become an even better deal.

Poles has no clue wtf he is doing. You trade out of the 2nd and then draft your TE3 with an early 3rd rounder?

Nice to see a GM chat with fans for an hour. I think he put to rest any further discussion of us transitioning to a 3-4 D, at least for the upcoming offseason. http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1...93-4aa1a6a8225d
