From USA Today in a story about his heart attack: https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2018/12/11/mike-ditka-opens-up-massive-heart-attack-last-month/2279742002/ “The Bears are really playing great, and in so many areas,” he said. “I’m a Bears fan, always will be. It’s more than fun watching them right now, because they’re kicking ass, period.” Amen MIke!!!

Outside of Special Teams, the 2018 Bears look to be equivalent or better across the board than the 2006 team based on positions. QB Grossman vs Trubisky - Not even a competition RB Jones/Benson vs Howard/Cohen - Fairly even production-wise but Cohen the X-Factor. WR Berrian/Muhammad/Davis vs Robinson/Gabriel/Miller - Fairly even top-2, but Miller takes the cake as the #3. TE/FB Clark/Gilmore/McKie vs Burton/Shaheen/Sims - Actually fairly even here with Clark and Burton with similar production. OL Tait/Brown*/Kreutz*^/Garza/Miller vs Leno/Daniels/Whitehair/Witzmann/Massie - Edge goes to 2006 team which only allowed Grossman to be sacked 2…

Both QBs were drafted in 2020. Last year the Jaguars had the second most money in FAgency to spend. They had picks, 1--20--65--70 took edge Travon Walker, LB Devin Lloyd, OC Luke Fortner, LB Chad Muma. In Free Agency : Brandon Scheff (all pro OG), Oluokun ( ( leading tackler in 2021 NFL), Fatukasi/ DT (above average), Kirk/ WR ( high #2 ), Zay Jones/ WR, Evan Engram/ TE. They needed to rebuild their OL and WR, add playmaker. Sound familiar? They added 2 starters on their OL and Kirk, Jones and Engram. We have more work on defense but offensively we have already started with bringing in Claypool in the mix. The key will be what Poles doe…

Happy birthday to the greatest football player of all time!

Bears may be thinking about Nmandi Asomuagh?

Frank Ominyale just got flagged for another false start... Way to go False Start Frankie!!!...jagoff

It doesn't really matter. There are two outstanding teams in the NFC and the rest are crap. Good teams find ways to win. Great teams win. So what if we barely make it to the playoffs. It will be a quick exit if we are not kicking it on all cylinders. We are not. Cutler hurt was devasting to our chances to make it far. We have old guys on defense that can still bring it. But watching them yesterday it was clear that they are looking at Hanie and saying.. We are screwed. There are no gimmie games in the NFL. The deflated crowd yesterday after every 3 and out was tough to see. I was even in shock going. damn we need some kind of spark. I didn't even yell at my tv. I layed…

Totally jacked up right now...

My hope is that Trubisky progresses like Goff. The quality of our defense and running game will help a lot.

Just curious what the locals think about the stadium relocating. I read they are looking at the south lot as a possibility, just curious where people would park then, looking at the current satellite images of the area. Also what are your thoughts of it moving to Arlington?

Most people gave Waldron credit for Geno's resurgence. With Waldron gone, Geno now leads the NFL in passing yards (averaging 295.5 per game), which is on pace for over 5K. He has 19 completions more than the 2nd QB and has thrown for 57 1st Downs in 4 weeks. Kenneth Walker's Yards per carry his first two seasons (with Waldron): 4.6 and 4.1. This year: 5.7. Metcalf is on pace for career bests in yards and receptions Smith-Njigba, who was critical of Waldron in the offseason, has 25 receptions in 4 games, on pace for over 100. He had 63 last year. Charbonnet, mainly a 3rd Down back, is on pace to quadruple last season's receiving numbers. Seattle …

I posted the article from The Athletic on another thread, so I thought it would be good to post why things will be better. For starters, we all know about the Polian hiring. What some may not know is that George and Ted have been talking with him all year and placed him on the payroll in October. That's A big big deal. Ted Phillips had been proven to be a bumbling fool when it comes to football, but I didn't realize until the aforementioned article that he was in the good ol boys network. That alone pissed me off, but now that he's out of the football part maybe the best decision will be made. We are in a unique situation and this has Polian's stamp on i…

The national press and some locals claim doomsday for this team. Yes we lost Mack and Hicks, but last yr they were hurt more than they helped. This yr we have improved a dismal DB group with the addition of Brisker and Gordon. Johnson has grown one more yr and hopefully the new scheme rejuvenated Jackson. The scheme seems to be more user friendly for Vidor. Graham is expected to take a step forward. We signed Tevon Young, and Clurkshank for added depth. Elijah Hicks seems to be going to make the roster. Smith is back in the fold and should flourish in this scheme. Morrow is running under the radar but was highly productive in LV and has the speed of Smith. SLM…

Poles is going to address who he wants to keep before going into free agency. David Montgomery Poles already said he loves what he brings to the team: work ethic, leadership, toughness. Because of a gluten of RBs, he'll sign for a team friendly deal. Say 4- 27 mil with 14 guaranteed / last year void able. Essentially 3- 20 mi Cole Kmet. Poles called him a blue chip player say 4- 37 mil 16 guaranteed He brings back DHC 2- 5 mil Tevor Wesco - vet minimum Josh Blackwell - vet minimum Armon Watts- vet minimum Byron Pringle- 3 mil with no guarantee_( will let him prove himself)
