Odunze looks even better than advertised. If not for Caleb, Rome would be the talk of the town. Recently, he talked about breaking Puca's rookie receiving records and talked about how they played together at Washington. That is a great personal goal, but with Moore, Allen, Kmet, Everett, and Swift also looking to eat, I don't think Odunze will break the records, but I still think he will have a better season than most are projecting. There are 28 rookies who broke 1K yards, I think Odunze will do that. There are only 3 players to break 100 catches, Nacua, Waddle, and Boldin. What is interesting to me is there are no other players over 92 receptions, as Michael …

1-2, 10 yds. Throws to first read into triple coverage on completion. Lucky it wasn't intercepted and the receiver almost got blown up. Instead of letting him air it out, they protect him and run more than pass while Trubisky was in. That was embarrassing, and against the Lions no less.

My question to all of you is this: is this the most snake bitten season the Bears have ever had? If you think of what we talked about the entire off season, the consensus would say, it's the year off Justin. What we never discussed is the litany of injuries this team has had. Drill that down to the OL and we can say that we've not seen the projected starting five all season. Other than the Charles Martin slaughter of Jim McMahon, I have not seen such carnage on the injury report. Jackson, Brisker, Gordon, Edmonds, Engakque, Johnson, Fields, Jones, Whitehair, Jenkins, Wright, Herbert, St Brown, Claypool, Davis, Feeney, Homer, Smith, Kramer, Lewis and Moone…

--Cutler has to start playing better. They're 2-1 despite him right now, not because of him. I think he'll come around. He's been a slow starter besides 2009. --Bush played OK but nothing great. I hope Forte is ready for Monday. --Marshall now, by my count, has 5 drops in 3 games. He's on pace for a record he doesn't want. This has to change as well. --I really enjoy watching the DL play right now. Melton, Okoye, McClellin, Peppers, Idonije- they're all getting to the QB in numerous ways at different spots. It's fun to see. --Urlacher is getting better by game. Right now, he's tied for the team lead in tackles. --Jennings...wow. I don't want to sound like a brok…

So last night Hurts had 153 passing yards and 157 rushing yards, with 2 passing TDs, and the national media is now saying he is in the running with Mahomes for MVP. What is wild to me is using Fields last 6 games, Fields is averaging over 160 passing yards a game, 1.7 passing TDs, 107 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD. In Hurts last 6 games, he is averaging 200 passing yards and 55 rushing yards a game and 2.5 total TDs. So 255 total yards and 2.5 total TDs to Fields 267 total yards and 2.7 total TDs. So Fields is playing better than an MVP candidate over the last 6 weeks. Oh by the way, Philly has a top 5 Offensive Line and AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goe…

the first half did have me concerned somewhat as nothing seemed to come together. the second half was a tale of two cities and it was impressive in the sense that this is a shiny new scheme with new coaches and young players who have never played together. they all banded together to get a win against a supposedly superior team. what was very impressive was that the niners were plain and simple out coached by the bears. 1. the discipline and good coaching was carried over from camp and preseason games. one of the differences being penalties or lack thereof. the talking heads can say whatever they want, the bears outcoached them and it showed on the field and in …

The national press and some locals claim doomsday for this team. Yes we lost Mack and Hicks, but last yr they were hurt more than they helped. This yr we have improved a dismal DB group with the addition of Brisker and Gordon. Johnson has grown one more yr and hopefully the new scheme rejuvenated Jackson. The scheme seems to be more user friendly for Vidor. Graham is expected to take a step forward. We signed Tevon Young, and Clurkshank for added depth. Elijah Hicks seems to be going to make the roster. Smith is back in the fold and should flourish in this scheme. Morrow is running under the radar but was highly productive in LV and has the speed of Smith. SLM…

Visited Bears training camp today with my brother and his boys. Observations: 1 - Much more like Platteville than Bourbonnais. Platteville was very laid back. Bourbonnais was was too corporate for my taste. 2 - Jaylon Johnson had 2 picks of Andy Dalton. The 2nd was beautifully timed where he jumped over the receiver on a long pass to haul it in. Dalton did have a nice throw to Allan Robinson on the sidelines. 3 - Justin Fields made a fantastic throw to Jesse James on a deep side-line route that went right over the top of the defender Charles Snowden. It really was a thing of beauty. 4 - Watched the defensive line prac…

Going into the final week of the regular season, we still have 9 teams vying for 6 playoff spots, a very competitive year. So far Run Dem Pockets (1), The Bunny (2), Corona Kings (3), and SAVAGEw/LOOSEMORALS! (4) have clinched a playoff berth. That leaves the following teams competing for the last two playoff spots in the final week of the regular season: 5. The Mad Lithuanians* (technically they are in barring some crazy scores since they have the Pts For Tie Breaker against any of the remaining teams) 6. MotM 7. PapaBear 8. Nopper 9. Nips&Tips Even though Victorious Secret has been eliminated, they are on a 2-game win streak, trying to end th…

How god awful... Jerry Angelo and Mike Martz via conference call to Jay Cutler "Hi there Jay, now that ur marriage is off, we wanted to totally screw you by not only making sure you have no time to throw the ball and a get few more concussions...but we decided to give away your friend and favorite target for a 3rd Round Pick we can select a projected UDFA with. We were thinking of bringing in ROy Williams who may be the biggest pussy on earth and most demented" Thanks Jay

I was in Vegas for that debacle and just got home. Thankfully, I only threw away $15 in bets on that turd sandwich. I sense the frustration on this board and in the fans I ran into this Monday. I am right there. So many here have pointed out OL is a problem. Here's what I walk away from this game with... 1. Disapointment. Yet again, on the grand stage we managae a performance that is truly embarassing. We didn't belong on the same field as SF on Monday. It doesn't matter really what the cause was. it just was. We looked out classed top to bottom. Yet again. Last time it was GB, this time SF. Any big game, big stage..plan for it. We will sh&…

"Is there a starting 11 in the league superior to Chicago’s defense? Only one that leaps to mind is Matt Nagy’s nearly 3,300-pound Santa’s Sleigh package." Can there be a better way to start a new story for the Bears than to beat Rogers and the Packers at home to clinch the NFC North title this Sunday. Common Mitch, this is where it starts!!
