Sorry guys, but I deleted the post offering a poll to decide who is at fault for the in-fighting. Truth be told, many involved share the blame. Having a poll will just cause further issues. I don't usually delete posts, so I hope you understand.

Still lead the league in Net Penalties -25, and Net Penalty Yards -318. Over the course of 15 games, they have lost a games worth of yardage to penalties compared to the other team. That is equal to a full game lost.

Ozzy looks mighty fine. Seems to be ahead of the rehab schedule.

Thuney and Byard make 1st Team, Wright makes 2nd team. I thought Dalman had a chance at Center. No one else on defense makes sense as Wright has been bad in coverage but with a lot of turnovers. On offense, Dalman feels like the only real snub considering the packed field at the skill positions. Byard is a free agent, and neither of the Safeties are signed beyond this year.

Pretty cool honors for the rook. Could've also went to Monangai or even Williams. If Loveland keeps up a solid pace, he could at least make the Warren v Loveland debate a little more even. He now has the PotW Honors, a 100-Yd game, and a 2-TD game to his credit. Warren has yet to break 80 yards receiving, which I was somewhat shocked about. It seemed like he was getting a lot of attention from the media, just to compare to Loveland, which I did as well.

In the Wild Card game, there was a play when the Packers no longer had timeouts and there was an injured player. It was after a long pass where the player was tackled in the field of play. Since the Packers did not have any timeouts there was a 10-second runoff. However, that actually benefitted them because they would've taken the same amount of time to get down the field, get set, then spike the ball. So they basically gained a down by that entire sequence. To me, it should be a 10-second run off AND loss of down because if there was no injury, they would've lost the time and the down. Finally, I was beginning to fear they would have him sit out the year. They waited until the last minute to activate him, even though he was practicing. Now the big question: will he start against Cincy?

The Bears have waived Zah Fraizer CB. Missed 2025 season due to personal reasons. He was a 5th round pick in 2025 draft.

The Bears have brought FA DE-AJ Epenesa in for a workout late last week. Another talent to rotate with Sweat, Booker, Dayo, and Turner will help.

After climbing as high as the WC2, the Bears are outside looking in now (on the bubble), tied with LAR and SF at 4-4. The 3 WC teams at the moment are MIN 6-2, PHI 6-2, and GB 6-3. So there is already a 1.5 game gap between the Bears and the last WC spot. Just looking at the schedule, even if the Bears play decent, beat NE, then split the last 8 for a 5-4 record, that is a 9-8 record which I don't think will be enough for the playoffs. Passing GB is the only chance and GB would have to go no better than 3-5 down the stretch to finish 9-8 AND CHI would have to gain the tiebreaker against them or outright better record to tie them with 9 wins. The reason I'm optimistic, this year, is because Tom Thayer is finally optimistic. He hasn't been this optimistic since 05. The reason for this optimism is surprising on one end and quite simple on the other. Simple reason: Ben Johnson. Thayer is the insider that knows what a solid program looks like and he claims to have seen none better than what BJ has established.(I believe him). Combine all that with year two of the offense and magic may become reality. Referencing everything from huddle control to the LOS, Caleb and the returning vets are in sync, while having the ability to correct the youngsters in real time. Caleb's 3rd season, 2nd under Ben Johnson. 2nd season for DA at DC, no other major coaches left. This is the SB window. The last time the Bears had back-to-back winning seasons and playoff appearances was 2005 and 2006, finishing 11-5 and then 13-3, ultimately losing the SB. However, the last time they won playoff games in back-to-back seasons was 1984 and 1985, culminating in the historic SB win. The 84-91 stretch was awesome but so frustrating. They should've had 2 Super Bowls and probably 3 visits. Way too many one and dones.

Saw a post on the socials recently where I learned #4 is in a contract year and an UFA after this year unless…the Bears resign him. So do they? I’m of the opinion ‘yes’ they need to. He’s done everything asked of him. Gotten better with Johnson and so far (knock on wood) has been durable. They didn’t draft any new RBs and aside from Monangai (who may have durability issues) there’s really no one left in the RB room. I think we all know for whatever reason, RoJo is in the doghouse and may have missed his potential. Aside from Chicago from being cheap I can’t think why they wouldn’t.
